Re: Tuesday March 11, 2025
Good morning. It's really going to be a beautiful day today.
This morning I moved some more branches towards the burn pile area. Tried to get the fire started and failed. So, I will wait for another day. If the branches don't get burned, they will make nice habitats for birds or other critters. I do have another spot that I need to move wood from but it's the closest to the bur pile so I saved it for last.
I have the house opened up and will do a few things around here. This afternoon I take a friend to her doctor appointment, it is later and she doesn't like to drive in the dark.
Talked with Dell support and they fixed my touch pad and found my pointer. I am back in business. And my new phone and internet thing from Verizon has been shipped. So soon I will be setting those up.
Tomorrow I go clean dad's house. I will stop at the thrift store and make a donation and perhaps, maybe get my hair cut.
Lois, yum, ribs. I love bbq ribs. Yep, standing in line at Costco. I don't have to stand in line anywhere else. Thankfully I bought a lot last time I went and will be fine for a while.
Maryz, ugh, Bill needs to quit dumpster diving. I think your menu sounds really yummy. Sadly Dell support had to uninstall something and reinstall it. To see what needed to be done they had me shut down then push the ctrl and power on buttons at the same time. My gosh it was a process. but very thankful for the help, it now works. I will be having three cavities refilled. The old fillings are black and look awful, they are also needing to be replaced before they need to be crowns. They will do all three at one time. I am hoping the work is equivalent to the crowns they replaced as far as I don't want my mouth numbed. Not sure I would like your new dentist either.
Judi, I would call that a trifecta. Joanns, hobby lobby and good will. Sounds like a great day to me. Meatloaf has been in my head lately, perhaps I will thaw some out and put it in my new air fryer oven thing.
Valerie, i also watch expiration dates. Now my thing is to buy the smallest bottle of some things where I used to get the largest. I'm truly a burger lover. The stupid reason I don't use the grill very often is that lighting thew charcoal means I have to close some windows in the house and I'd much rather fry a burger and leave the windows open. Sounds like it's time for you to start cutting up that confetti. You'll need it on Thursday afternoon. woo hoo.
Lyn, I not only tried to reboot I unplugged and hoped. Glad you are getting in to fix that tire. and glad you got that phone appointment. I wonder why they can't talk with you until late April.
Maryq, eye glasses can be frustrating. I had an issue with my glasses and it was just an adjustment. She bent my nose thing and the frames and poof, I could see wonderfully, hope your issue is the same. Verizon did explain about how the internet will work. Odd not to have something plugged into the phone line. They also said that if my internet signal is weaker in different part of the hosue they will send me a free booster. Trust me, I'll get a booster.
Lori, the rain is supposed to get here tomorrow, hope those boys get a dry walk today. How was the nurse visit yesterday?
Jana, Just incase Sarah needs to use it on her chickens, my grandpa would tell his chickens that if they didn't start laying it would be the soup pot for them. He swore it helped.
Guess, now that it is noon, I should have breakfast. Not sure what dinner will be, we may go out or I will just come home and have something easy.
You all have a fun day,
Chriss

Pre-emptive Warning!
I was playing around on different quilt sites and a very cute squirrel jumped out and took over my computer! It found a cute new pattern - from Art to Heart - Autumn Dance - and best of all - it's a free download! Would make a nice fall quilt. So it's downloaded on my computer now. Looks to be something that a scrappy stash would be right at home using up.
And before that squirrel got me, I finished a OWL block and have two more traced out ready to fuse. My eyes needed a rest from threading a machine, hence the squirrel attack!

Valerie, great job on your 1st pp. I thought you had done pp before. I like your colors.
Jana, the "Autumn Dance" is a pretty quilt. I may download the pattern as well.

Hi everyone!
I've had a busy day, unexpected busy LOL
Valerie, it's gorgeous! You did an amazing job!!
Chriss, oh goodness that's a lot of dental work hugs ๐ซ
Maryz, is Bill ok?
Jana, I couldn't find the pattern, do you have a link?
I wish you all were closer, I could share my eggs with you....I give them to anyone who needs them around here.
We had to get our brakes replaced today, our nephew did it for us, he works at a garage in town.
We ate supper with Holly and the kids.
Oh I forgot to tell you all, Holly got 3 baby goats, little girls. One looks just like a baby deer, her name is Bambi, one has a lot of black on her so her name is Flower and the other ones name is Thumper
they are 6 weeks old.
I hope you all have a good evening
Prayers for all in need
Tina

Tina it's on the Art to Heart website, then you could search her site for Autumn Dance. I found it on her Shop page. There are three pictures and one is is the free download. The other two are a different, but similar quilt. Links and I don't play well together!

Valerie, wow, dang girl that is really cool. You are more gutsy than I am.
Jana, cool quilt.
Tina, I bet those goats are just adorable. Here there is a place called Happy Goat. They rent their goats as weed eaters. They also have a farm to table restaurant where they don't serve goat. It is going to be a lot of dental work but it will only be on Thursday, on Friday I will be good as new. https://arttoheart.com/shop/ols/product ... -no-charge
