Did you remember to set your clocks ahead? I must be the only person in the country who likes Daylight Savings Time. I don't even mind changing all the clocks. I love longer, lighter evenings.
JANA - how scary for Stu and his friend to have the car catch fire. And how alert they were to realize the problem and deal with it so quickly, and get through traffic to the shoulder. I guess Stu will be getting a new car.
TINA - nice to have those taxes all finished. Ours are almost done (Bill does them with TurboTax) but he's still waiting on one form. That's all that's holding us up. Looks like we might get something back this year. Most years we end up paying. I hope that form up soon! What does everyone else do about the sand blowing into homes? Maybe there's more ideas out there 'blowing in the wind'.
CHRISS - I hope the toaster oven/etc that you got is purrfect for you. We use ours a lot. We also use our microwave a lot. We rarely use the big oven, but when you need it, you need it!
MARY Q - I hope you learn how to use your little oven. I hope I learn how to use ours! Bill has to operate it. I keep trying but for some reason, I'm not pressing the right buttons at the right time, I guess. It's not that hard. At least I don't think it is. I've written the simple directions down, step by step, but I'm still doing it wrong. We have about 10 round-abouts in Gig Harbor now. Even tiny North Pole, AK has two of them, one right after the other. We used to think they might do a training burn on Vicki's house but nowadays, they mostly just bring in a big machine that takes big "bites" and crunches the house down in a few hours. Have you finished your little girl quilt yet? Is the little boy all done?
JUDI - well, I'm guessing you are home now and slept in your own bed last night. They say the best day of vacation is the day you leave and the second best is the day you come home. This sounds funny but I missed you! You still posted every day, and if I hadn't known you were gone I wouldn't have known you were gone! Still, I missed you. Glad to have you home again.
FLO - hope your days settle down for you.
VAL - you pay $60 every month for what? Kind of like appliance maintenance insurance? And then pay $100 on top of that? For poor service? That doesn't sound like such a good deal to me - $720/yr and more if you need repairs? I thought Sears went out of business. I hope you get your washer (or is it dryer?) fixed soon.
LORI - Did you get time to sit down and stitch on your spring wool project for your friend? When do you plan to visit her again?
Yesterday I finally conquered #23. Whew! It almost took me down, but I won! #24 looks to be a piece of cake after #23. And I'll do it today. I also got the family room cleaned finally. Today I'll clean the laundry "room" which is just a little cubby behind folding doors off the family room. And then comes the master bath and our bedroom. Also, JANA got me moving yesterday and inspired me to start on my closet. So far I've only gone through my dresses. I don't have very many, but I'm ditching 3 of them plus 2 floor length black skirts. I don't remember ever wearing any of them. It's to be a rainy, rainy day here. Another pineapple express, so I'll be inside all day long. But things are looking up. All our birds are back in town! And they sound happy about it. Plus my lone daffodil is in bloom and everything else is starting to bud out - lilacs, forsythia, honeysuckle. I love this time of year. For supper tonite, I'm going to make a pot of split pea soup. I don't have any ham so I'll use a sliced up kielbasa. And I like to add some diced potatoes, carrots, and onion. My favorite soup! I love it with toast. And, MARY Q - you're invited

Hug someone today!
