Jana, once when I took my machine in for service the treader didn't work when it came back. I looked at it and just adjusted the part that goes through the needle. It worked.

Lyn, I don't even own a scale. Haven't for 40+ years. I know when my jeans get a little tight around the waist it's time to cut back. I'm at that point now. My weight has been consistent when I go to the doctor twice a year. Hope you find a solution to the WiFi issue.

Chriss, the correspondence will be fun for someone to read. Glad you have those great memories. I was going to go to Costco today, but then I remembered it was a holiday. It's crazy enough on a regular Monday.

Maryq, above 40 is tropical? Yikes. Wow...you're just like me when it comes to working on projects. lol
I did some embroidery, hand quilting, and cut out some parts for my OWL quilt yesterday. Every time I go to the closet to look for something, something else catches my interest. I have to fight the urge to start something new.

Tina, that is strange about the wind and dirt. Maybe it's because of the density of the color night. Just guessing, don't really know.

Valerie, do you have an attachment for doing binding? I just wing it on the machine, but I've seen some cool attachment. I wonder if they work.

Maryz, I thought the squatter left. How sad for the woman who was there when he died. I think that property is cursed. So happy for your brother. Hope he and his bride have many happy years together. I like paper piecing. I do kind of a chain piecing thing when I paper piece. I prep several at one time then sew. Then fold, cut, glue, sew again. It goes really fast, but it's really boring. No dancing this week because of the holiday. :(

Judi sounds like you are enjoying yourself.

Lois, I got my laundry done yesterday, so the machine is all yours.

I'm going to head up to dad's and work on clearing out some more stuff. I found my stuffed animals from when I was a very young child. My mom had sentimental attachments to many things and just couldn't get rid of them.

Dinner will be chicken and something. I have some fresh veggies from the farmers market, so I'm sure they'll make it to my plate.

Have a lovely day.

Yes, I have straightened that little hook on the needle threader, many times. It's the new piece, that screws tight and holds the needle in place, seems to be longer than the one that broke. But it's not. The needle is held up in the correct spot to sew. The needle threader is now to short to reach the eye of the needle. From the top of that screw piece. I can slide a white piece of paper behind the needle and see the eye and use a pair of my long serger tweezers to grab the thread. Works pretty well.

Thank you for all your suggestions and help. I really appreciate all y'all!
