Hope size is all they change - I love the weight of the paper the Block magazine uses currently.

Lyn- the cabin will feel quite damp as the mud dries, so it's good to have a window or two open.

Good morning. It's supposed to be a warmish week, in the low 60's. Not sure where winter went but if we don't get some rain, and a lot of it, we will see potential for a bad fire season this summer.

Dad is still working on installing lights. He doesn't get here too early and seems to stay only a few hours. So that makes for an unproductive day for me as well. I'm quite thankful that he is doing all of this for me. I'm just not convinced it really needed doing. But he is having fun.

Lori, I really hope no new fires start up too. But that wind is so fierce. The news report last night said you can't fight mother nature, she has a mind of her own. An event like this really shows the difference between good (helpers and donators) and evil (scammers and looters).

Maryz, Amara is sweet. I would sniffle too at the kissed photo. Nope, Moose won't get in the car to go to the place where we walk. He's no fun. Look at you in Lyn's picture looking all teachery, I bet that was fun, to teach a class.

Lois, happy laundry and sandwiching day. I saw where you typed sandwich and I thought tuna salad. maybe I will make some today.

Judi, I also need to lighten my load a bit more and make a donation, problem is I donate then park and shop then start the process all over again.

Oops, 30 minute intermission, it's time for me to go walk.

I'm back, and now part two of my post.

Lyn, If I didn't have a dog I could go to see my grandson and pretend I read my calendar wrong on Monday and say Since I'm here, then go home on Friday. But I think they would catch on to me. Glad the cabin is taped and drying. I wonder if a space heater would help. There is a story about the Masonic Hall in Hornitos, Ca. My great grandma's brother George Thorn got the bid to dig a basement under the Masonic Lodge. He offered to do it if he could work the dirt to find gold, The basement was dug and then someone was to come and put in the forms to pour the cement walls (not sure of the time span between digging the basement and installing the walls.) They had to cut windows in the basement so air would flow and the cement would dry. They had to build this new lodge because the old one, over the bakery, burned down. It's supposed to be one of the oldest Masonic lodges in Cali. So, what I am getting at is that is probably why the window of the cabin was left open to dry the mud. ha ha, that was the long way around the hill wasn't it. I crack me up.

Jana, I think that light hanging thing is so cool. Especially as we age, we just don't have any business climbing ladders. Some of my family landed in Utah and stayed there as the rest of the family moved to LA then up to Mariposa. The Utah clan were members of your church and are buried in Ogden.

Maryq, I don't use the dishwasher. I don't cook much so just do a load of dishes each day by hand. Funny that you started another project. How many do you have going now? How are the baby quilts coming along? I finally finished the receiving blankets and gave them to my friend with the bug quilt for her granddaughter. Now to start on my First Kiss quilt

Tina, hard decision. Depends on how much cleaning there is to do. Yesterday I did just the toilets then went in to sew until the parents got here. Today, since there are no toilets to do I can wash a few dishes, take a shower and go sew until the parents get here.

Time to go hit the shower and go play in my room. You all have a great day,
chriss

Chriss, Interesting story, thanks for sharing. But, you didn't mention if gold was found. I wondered about heat to help dry the mud on the tape, too. But the guy said if it dries too fast it will crack, so no heat, just open windows for air flow.
