Tina - if you love playing games, here's a new one Sarah just got and it's a hoot to play, even with younger kids. It's called, Hugs and Cues. It's a word game and deals with describing color with one word. Everyone gets points each turn. I think she got it on Amazon. Sarah had a game night party with their friends and they had a blast.

Re: Thursday December 26,2024
Good morning, what a wonderful day today will be. The sun is up and the blue sky has some whispy white clouds here and there. The pasture is green. It's just beautiful.
My plan for today is to clean out my car and gather what I need to trade it in. I've almost picked out the car I want but see one with a feature I'd also like to have so I will go purchase one of them tomorrow. Also today I go see the parents, guess I had best make some deviled eggs before I go.
My house has been dusted and vacuumed, bathrooms are clean. Only a few dishes need washing. Hmmm, what's a girl to do with so much free time. I'll have to ponder that.
Lois, yay for the kids showing up early. They just don't realize how anxious we are to see them. I'm glad everyone is happy with their quilts.
Judi, so glad you got to see your DIL. I'm sure it was good for her as well as you. Isolation isnt' good, people need people, glad she has you.
Katy, glad you had a nice Christmas. I just love facetime, it's a great invention. Happy un-Christmasing.
Maryz, sorry your witch is bewitching. Nope, dont send that pattern here. I just read your review and don't want it anywhere near here. LOL. Sure would like to see Miss Amara in her ruffly dress. I showed you my grandkid, you could at least show me yours. So glad you had a wonderful Christmas. Deviled eggs are the perfect breakfast, and if you smush them up they are egg salad, ready for sandwiches. Deviled eggs are a very versitile dish. The aquariam in Monterey also offers a "spend the night in the aquariam" event. you bring your sleeping bag and sleep wherever you want. Wasn't it the Godfather movies that said something about sleeping with the fishes? I will try to remember your photo suggestion, it's a great idea.
Becca, so glad you had a nice Christmas. Prayers for your DGS.
Flo, bet playing in the snow was a fun thing to do with DGD. I bet she loved it. Sorry the family isnt' playing nice about the funeral but really, did you expect them to be any other way?
Maryq, I sure hope you get to pick p your car today. It will be nice to have it back home where it belongs. Prayers said for your neice and woo hoo for getting to make two baby quilts. No one gets to go see Elliott if they haven't had their whooping cough vaccine. Elliott will have his next set of shots soon and then he can be seen by everyone. They plan on heading this way soon and doing their visiting. I bet it was kind of nice to have a stay at home day. And I bet Katy enjoyed her time with you.
Lyn, ugh, little bugs. Jerry used to put bay leaves everywhere because he said they kept the bugs away. I'm still finding bay leaves. Glad your yesterday was nice and quiet. There is a lot to be said for a peaceful day. Elliott really does have a lot of expressions. He also knows right where his mom is at all times. I will get that 4 generation picture in the next month or so. I have one from when Rich was about 3 years old. Do you have Amazon Prime? have you checked out their fire stick? Sometimes they play the football games on Prime.
Jana, undecorating is truly a chore. hope yours goes well. Will they come get the lights on the outside of the hosue?
Tina, I also don't often leave a messy kitchen but when you are feeding the herd sometimes it's necessary.
I tell ya, buying a car is a job. But I have picked out the one I want and after lots of phone calls, texts and emails this morning I will pick it up tomorrow at 10am. I'm really excited about it, and need to get my car cleaned out and gather paperwork and keys. I'll take a picture of my old car in front of my garage then a picture of the new one in the same spot.
But with al the distractions this morning it's after 10:30 and I'm still in my robe, time to move my butt.
Dinner tonight? I have no clue. I didn't bring home any leftovers, I didn't eat any dessert. You all have a spectacular day.

Maryz -
I know the Seattle game is on. So you may not see this until tomorrow. But just for your info, #15, Okuzune, 9n the Chicago Bears, is the grandson of Mr G's best friend and best man at our wedding. This young man played and graduated from University of Washington.

Chriss, what a wonderful picture of you and the boys. I too love celery and peanutbutter.
You, Lyn, and Tina will need to share with me.
Tina, that is very bizarre what happened to Jamie. It almost sounds like the movie "Men in Black" where they erase your memory. Glad you got some good sleep. I like Mexican train. It's a fun game.
Jana, where is the funeral? I know there are many areas up there you want to stay clear of. My dad is from Richmond. Way back then it was a nice area, but not so much anymore. We own a property in Point Richmond that overlooks the bay. That's a nice area.
Lyn, I hate when bugs get in my food too. I keep most of my open box items in mason jars or sealed containers.
Maryq, yes there was horseradish sauce and it was delicious. My dad is at the Board and care again. He got there Monday. That's terrible for your niece to have to deal with something like that so young. Hopefully she'll be okay.
Flo, not everyone understands your decisions, but that's okay. It's your decision.
Maryz, that is way past the time they were supposed to be there. I sure hope they called. I bet Amara looked adorable in her Christmas dress. I bet you'll be having a lot of tea parties in the future. And no thank you on the pattern. It doesn't sound fun. I pulled out some fabric for your table runner class. I'll get it in the mail by Monday.
Judi, good to hear your DIL is doing well. Relaxing is always great after a big get together.
Lois, I bet everyone loved their quilts. They were all so wonderful with lots of love sewn into everyone of them.
Did a few things around the house. Molly is hanging out with me at the computer now. She pretty much follows me where ever I go. We had lasagna and salad for dinner.
Have a lovely evening.

Lori - funeral is in Concord, the cemetery for burial is in El Cerrito. Point Richmond has always been a nice area, but getting there isn't! I grew up in Richmond, graduated high school and then moved away out to Concord.. My 7ncle was a lieutenant on the Richmond police force.
