Good afternoon from chilly, rainy, dreary, SW. Pa....I think Fall has finally caught up with us, dog gone! But, we have been super lucky this year, setting records with our temps.....Now, hopefully, it will stay Fall until maybe April or May and then be summer......Not asking for much, right????

MaryZ, was so happy to hear you were having good roads then sad that you ran into bad roads...Every night when Kevin calls, he'll ask what's happening and when I say absolutely nothing, he'll say, good job! He is trying real hard to perfect that "doing nothing" but he still seems to be very busy...He still gets up before 5:00 and if it's grocery day, he'll be at the store at 6:00 or if he's golfing, he's there before the greenskeepers, just him, the deer and the turkeys.....BUT, he did have a call from the gal he had worked with and she needed him to come back to correct and finish a job....They keep asking him to come back but, he said they can't afford him, lol....
Did you see what Gene asked Jana to do????? My heavens, I don't cook much now but after cooking for 5 kids and Jim and everyone surviving, I'm sure I could get the hang of it quickly......On his way back home, he's more than welcome to stop in Pa.....

Jana, how neat to be able to see the tree and talk with Gene...And as I told Mary, I'm ready to get busy with the pots and pans....
How sad to hear about that house and then loosing someone so young....We've had a few houses around here blow up and it's really, really terrible....
You really did have a nail bitter, didn't you? My game was kind of boring and at times, I did feel sorry for the other team, 52-3 is not real exciting.....

Chriss, You really had me laughing about Grandma and her saying...I'm really going to have to remember that one!....And also, the painting, know what you're going through....In our 1st house, each one of the kids had their own room and Jim being a painter, told them, he'd paint what ever they wanted....One of the rooms, was red/white/blue...Extra wide stripes of the 3 colors on the sides, ceiling was white with a huge blue star in the middle and all the woodwork was the dark blue....It really was something to see BUT, when we sold the house, Jim told the new couple, he'd paint any room they wanted and of course, they picked this room to be their bedroom and wanted it a pale shade of yellow....Many, many coats of paint later they had their yellow bedroom....They never did repaint the green, shamrock room, which was our favorite...... I like the idea of the dimmer, good thinking.....And so glad you get lots of pictures...Living close to mine, I don't see them as much as I'd like but I sure do get the pictures....

As I said, today is chilly and dreary and a perfect day to bundle up in a quilt and read or cross stitch....Haven't even thought about dinner, will have to work on that......I might even have to break down and make a pick up order, fridge is getting pretty empty......

You all have a great rest of the day.................
