I was awake about 2:30, gave it up as a lost cause at 3:00. And here I am.

BECCA - great to see you pop in! I was thinking of you yesterday.
VAL - maybe you just needed a day to pull back from life. I spent most of yesterday reading a book, then watching a football game. If I did anything else I don't remember it!
JUDI - when is your DDIL having that procedure? Can you tell us more about it? How did you do at Ryker's game?
IRISH - didn't you say your craft sale was yesterday? Did you make your fortune??
CHRISS - we have reflective house number signs we ordered from our fire dept for $25 each. We bought two and put them on our signpost at the end of our driveway because we live smack between two manned fire stations. We wanted the numbers clearly visible from either direction. No numbers on our house as it's set back in the woods.
MARY Q - did you get your room emptied? You know, if most everything is out, the floor people will help with the last one or two heavy items, just moving them from side to side in the room. What fabric did you choose for your quilt border?
KATY - nice to see you! So how much property did you actually keep for yourself? An acre? 5 acres? A lot? I didn't put out much fall stuff this year, just my quilts and tablerunners. In fact, I'm going to donate most of my old decor items next fall. Glad you like the new neighbor that bought your farm. Was he someone you already knew?
JANA - last I heard, Gene is definitely a cookie fan! And I suspect his driving partner, John, is as well.
What block are you putting above your garage? I deliberated for a long time on mine, but finally settled on the Austin Star since I'm an Austin. And it was easy to paint!LYN - your brother arrived safe and sound? Tractor, too? My brother arrived yesterday, too, though I won't get to see him. He says he's really busy so I'll catch him on Friday. I bet your DB loved your BBQ supper.
TINA - what a relief to find shoes that FIT! That's how I felt, too, when I found the Sketcher shoe that I wear now. Those little people sure do get up to some 'interesting' things! lol! I'm sure we'll find out for ourselves in a few more weeks. Did you get your rain? How is Dad?
I did nothing productive yesterday except read a book. This morning I have a dental appt at 7:30 for a cleaning. We got a letter from our dentist saying he is retiring. I'm so going to miss him! He is a sweetheart. A young Asian woman is buying his practice so I'll see what she can do with a dental scaredy-cat like me! She will have her work cut out for her! After dentist, I'll walk with my neighbor, then drop my two plants at her house for the winter. Scottie has a groom appt at noon. And I think I'll do some house cleaning and wash the sheets this afternoon. No sewing - it's all packed. And it's looking like we're going to have a windstorm today. Gusts up to 40 mph they said. Ugh. I hate wind. So I may not be walking after all. Too many big trees here which are a danger in wind.
