Good afternoon from semi sunny, warm SW. Pa...At least no rain for now, maybe later....But hopefully, it will stay nice until the kids get moved...I talked to Kevin earlier, and asked if he's surviving...He has Emma and 3 dogs at his house and he said, so far so good, lol...He has the patience of a saint, and he sure didn't get it from me.....
MaryZ, I understand completely why the yard work didn't get done yesterday and I might even find an excuse or 2 not to do it today, also.....I keep waiting for that perfect day to do mine, lol....Kevin figures, one more mowing and he'll be helping trim some of the bushes...I get no leaves in the front and my neighbor takes care of them in the back...But, there's always something, isn't there? Nick is stationed at the AirForce base in the Panhandle and lives in a little town near by called Crestview..I haven't heard from him and waiting to talk to his Dad, Terry in Tenn. Feel so bad for those families who have lost members along with their homes... I just can't imagine...I'd probably be the 1st one out of the state if a hurricane was spotted.....Yes, that sister of mine does keep me going.. We played cards with the kids until about 10:00, and then after they left, the 3 of us played until 1:00....Tonight, we're meeting for dinner at 5:00 then going to see her son and his band and then she wants to come back to her house and play more cards.....I always say, she'll be in her casket and if someone says the word cards, she'll pop up and say, deal me in.....And maybe I've said this before, she said, she's not going to go to a cemetery, she's going to the junk yard because of all her new parts...As I've said, never a dull moment......
Becca, glad to hear you're OK...Had been thinking and praying for you and the family....Stay safe!
Maryq, I hadn't thought about the pillow cases but when you think about it, you would have to charge more than most would want to pay..... I keep thinking that about my cloth books but last year, they were a big seller...But, there again, those panels went up in price this year so I'll have to raise that price so we 'll see.....I'm still looking for Christmas dish towels to crochet tops on but haven't seen any yet....Never thought to buy a bunch last year! Our club charges $25.00 a table, members get one for $20.00 and what you sell is yours...We'll probably also have a bake sale...So far, I'm the only one with "our" kind of stuff, which is good....I do have a neighbor who makes gorgeous wreaths and I told her if she wanted, she could put a couple on my table...She's also having her knee done next Monday so will depend on how she feels or what she has already done....I'm getting excited but also, at times, wish it was over.....
Judi, happy to hear from you and we do care....It sounds like you really have the right attitude when you say, you will work harder...But, just be careful, don't push too much...Patience, my friend, it will be good....
Tina, oh my, you sure are busy...Just last night my sister and I were telling a friend about cleaning out a house for another friend so I know what you're going through...It really is a daunting job and one that seems to go on forever...But, you also have to take care of yourself, don't over do.....
Lyn, love the Meme you posted....Boy, that sounds almost like what we've been having....AND the months are flying by much, much too quickly......I was at a Farmer's market the other day and the fellow was saying, if we don't have a "winter" they won't be able to have their crops next year so for them, I'm hoping for winter,,,Maybe Mother Nature could just pick and choose and give the farmers the winter they need and the rest of us, nice weather, lol.......
Well, I'd best get moving...I'm doing laundry and playing with my machine and hopefully be ready to run at 5:00......
You all have a great rest of the day......Please be safe!

Re: SATURDAY, Sept 28th
I know I'm suppose to be nice, but karma does happen!
Awhile back, person in the neighborhood came into a construction intersection and we collided, doing minimal damage to my Highlander bumper. Couldn't see a scratch on her car. So because Aaron works for Herriman PD, we 2ould have to wait for the next city over to come take the accident report. Well, we got permission for the duty Sargent to come out. He did and took our report of what happened. Michael did accident investigation for many years at his job. Well, this person got her nose out of joint, thinking she was being ignored , so tried throwing her weight around, as she was special, as her husband was a attorney in the State AG's office. Didn't phase the Sargent at all and he finished his investigation. Well here comes the karma -- yesterday in Daniel's neighborhood, he saw a bunch of Herriman PD officers up the next street from his. Of course we call Aaron because we are curious. Turns out it was a traffic accident and the person involved was the same one that hit us! She again was trying to throw her weight around with PD, who just ignored all her noise! She backed out of her driveway hitting a passing car. Oh there are times for appreciating karma! Our insurance divided the fault on our accident equally, which we challenged to no avail. It cost me my 10 year accident free discount. Now she has two in less than 2 years on her record! I know, I'm supposed to be. Nice, but this is too good!
