Morning
I'm here late, but was moving early. Chicken got moved to flock this morning, ran out of steam yesterday.
Chriss, I have seen that meme and hug a Chicken every day....
Maryq, I make marinara sauce with my tomatoes, because that's what I use mostly. I do freeze some whole to use as diced tomatoes in my soups over winter. Sauce is made, this evening I will bring it up to temp and can. For now it's in fridge in ice cream pails.
I am in SW Missouri off I44 between Joplin and Springfield. Today is supposed to be last day over 80, then cooler fall weather...
Have a sew great day

Good morning my friends. Isn't it a gorgeous day? I'm loving this cool crisp weather.
Soon I will get dressed and go to the dump to take the recycling, then to the grocery store for bread. After that I am playing in my room.
Yesterday I attempted to make a block for the lotto. My singer started acting up, sewing really slowly. So I pulled out a Janome I bought at a thrift store. the thread kept breaking. I did finally finish the block but it is too small. Today is do over day. I may need a new machine.
Lois, sounds like you are going to have a marvy day. Always a good time when you get to spend it with your kids.
Diane if you cut fabric for a few hours how many kits will be cut? Is it an assembly line or do you each cut a kit then move on to the next kit. Just curious about the process.
Suzette, hope your pain is figured out and manageable. When will you have results?
Judi, it's fun to hear how we start off our days. I wakeup and open the house and read my bible and devotions with my coffee. Then I come here and then do my chores. If you send me a picture of Irene I will post it for you, Love the Joy to the world quilt. I googled it, very cute.
Jana, If your kids would like to swing by here on their way to the dump I could help them load up. treat bags for Halloween is a good idea. We don't get any T&Ters here. They have a bit trunk or treat in Mariposa instead.
Lyn, hope Miss Minnie does well at the vet.
Maryz, Enjoy your lunch. I bet the ladies appreciate your wrangling them as much as you love the wrangling. My email from the post office was correct. I received the cutest wallet/pouch/thingy. It has butterflies on it. I posted a picture in the swap section. I usually use a manilla envelope for my lotto blocks. Then I tape up the seams.
Maryq, happy new carpet day, I am a bit green with envy. My turn will come. We don't have the scan feature at our post office. Living in hickville has it's drawbacks. But I do get emails when I'm getting a package. I never click on an email link. I highlight the tracking number and do a google search for it. If it's real it will come up in the USPS site.
Sharona, that cleaning fairy didn't come here either. Not sure what happened to her, dang it. My bathrooms also could use some attention.
Flo, my ex used to make big pots of sauce and we would freeze them in zip lock bags so we could lay tem flat. I loved that sauce. Hug a chicken for me please.
Tomorrow is the power ball drawing, over a billion dollars. I may buy a ticket, we will see. If I win the billions we will gather and have a party.
Guess it's time to go tot he dump, no getting out of it. Have a groovy day.

I've never posted here, always on the Supper club but reading through and seeing Suzette say she might have Lymes, I had to chime in.....I was diagnosed a year ago and I too, was surprised...I remember being bitten but thought it was just a mosquito (sp) because it was so itchy and then my arm turned black and blue and still not thinking anything about it....I then got sick and of course thought, I had covid...After a couple of weeks, my sister bundled me up and off to the hospital and tested negative and even after telling them all my symptoms, didn't test for Lymes....Few weeks later, finally was able to convince a PA to at least do blood work and she was all excited because she had never done that test but she also started me on heavy antibiotics...Sure enough, in a day or so, she called and it was Lymes and added more antibiotics....I sure hope and pray, if it's Lymes, they start treatment quickly...I felt better within a couple of days after starting the meds....But, I also hope and pray, it's a very mild case but better yet, hope it's neither of those 2 nasties and something that can be taken care of quickly......Will certainly keep you in my prayers, hope you feel better soon....."Irish"

Mary- Patterns are agreed on and off we go to the garage for the totes already cut or the bolts if we can't find what we want. The totes start at 2 1/2 strips all the way to 6 1/2 . Then we have squares starting at 3 1/2 inches to all way up to 10 1/2inches. Triangles also start at 3 1/2 to 6 1/2. Quarter square triangles from 3 1/2 and 4 1/2. Each size is it its own tote bucket and marked. There are around 100 or more bolts including about 25 of 108's. We try to stay as organized as we can--(or at least we try.)
Depending on the pattern-we grab large amounts of the fabric for them. We do not count at this point that is done by the helpers at DAV. We load up Dianes and sometimes my trunk with extra totes and taken to the DAV. There are usually 4-5 large shopping bags that have a pattern and the fabric is taken to the tables and the women start counting to fit the pattern. Double checked and finally bagged and tagged to be given on to the next stop. There are 4 women who give out the kits, they keep tabs on who and when they were given. Believe it or not -it really is a fun time.
Mary-Yes, Piper is eagerly waiting for "her" car. We should be there Sunday mid-day. She can't wait.
Can't believe she is driving. Anyone on Long Island keep watch for a white Rogue with a sandy hair girl driving. Run for your life. LOL.
