Good morning,

Yes, we are in shock here. This turn of events took us all by surprise. But Sarah, who's very close to Sandee has stepped in and is guiding Sandee through what needs to be done. Sarah has lost a husband a many years ago, so has the experience to help Sandee. Scott has two grown sons, from previous marriages. He and Sandee never had any children. The little girls, Ethan and I made a huge batch of chocolate chip cookies as a thank you to the officers and fire that came. My little way to keep them busy. PD and fire both are co- workers to Kate and Aaron, so all on duty from PD were here, and the fire crew was the team Kate always works with. Those two, took the hot cookies to the stations for us. Crenda has a cousin on her side that owns a local funeral home and he is helping with that. My girls are coming this morning with Matt and the boys to clean Sandee's house and do the yard mowing etc. My big boys don't start school until tomorrow. Just Ethan and Karlie have started. So it will be a busy beehive of help here. Scott's passing was complications of his surgery.

So my house needs attention and cleaning, which is what I'll be doing. That will keep me busy. Sewing is on hold. Michael and I enjoyed our traipse yesterday. The dirt road over the mountain is now paved. Yippee! :) We did find the little Christmas shop and I got a cute glass rooster ornament for our tradition. Michael hiked over, around and through the tourist railroad tracks - there was a new train control signal the railroad added, so he checked it out. His career was signal engineering, so he is well versed. I watched from the car. The drive through the trees and river were beautiful.

Thank you for being all y'all! You mean a lot to me!

So do something fun, and enjoy all that's around you,
Hugs
Jana

Good Morning Girls

First of all Dear Dear Jana, I am so very sorry to hear of Scott's passing. What an awful shock to your family. I will keep Sandee and all of you in my prayers today and in the days ahead. I know you will all surround her with all your love and support.

Judi.... I have a really good recipe for pickles that don't need to be canned, but just in the fridge.. And they are great tasting over night. If I can find the recipe I'll send it to you! I should make some too, as I picked up a bunch of jars from the kids house yesterday.

I'm breathing a big sigh of relief this morning! I'm ALL DONE school shopping! No plans to even leave the house today. It's definitely clean up day and I happy to say I'm UP, dressed and got my coffee and ready to kick some butt around here and get stuff done! Ok, but 2:00 I'll need a nap... for now I'm ready to rock!

Y'all have a great great day...

Good morning. It's looking like rain. But as hot as it is any rain will evaporate before it reaches the ground. Sorry to see that Liz Cheney lost the election, hoping she can get a lot done in the final 4 months of her term, and that she is able to keep involved either by an appointment or by winning an election.

This morning I have a zoom meeting or maybe two, can't remember. and will make some cuke, tomato and onion in Italian dressing. I love that stuff. Still figuring out my RW&B layout. To sash or not to sash?

Tomorrow Jerry goes to the dentist for a crown. I will drop him off then go buy him a new coffee maker since his has decided to start leaking.

Jana, you were the first person I thought of when I woke up this morning. continued prayers for your family. I just love the way your family gathers and pitches in. You've raised a good group of humans. Hope you can toss something in the crock pot to feed your brood.

Judi, we used to make tomato juice and freeze it in ice cube tray then put the cubes in a ziploc. We also made spaghetti sauce and put it in zip lock bags and stored them flat to make space. If Jerry didn't buy so much fruit, flour, and make tv dinners out of leftovers we really wouln't need a extra freezer.

Lyn, safe travels and hope the repair is quick.

Maryq, I also don't plan to leave the house today. Just got my "zoom in 10 minutes" warning from my calendar. hope you are productive, I plan to be.

Hope you all have a fun day,
Chriss

Good morning ladies Jana you and your family are in my prayers so sorry to read about the loss of Scott

I’ve been so busy here trying to wrap up some projects and doing a lot of canning of course all the tomatoes are coming in at once so I’ve been putting them up and then little man started school so we’ve been doing the homeschooling and getting vet into a routine and I’ve been filling out all the paperwork for the position in New Mexico so that has been taking up a lot of my time. It always amazes me how much paperwork there is to fill out and how different it is for each state.
This morning I made two dozen waffles to freeze for easy access for the kids for breakfast as well so been pretty busy this morning finished up my Cleopatra‘s fan quilt blocks now doing the layout go stop by the LQS and try and find a background fabric I like.
I have to run to the sheriffs office today and get fingerprints done for my background check for New Mexico and then I should be all caught up and take a breather
Nothing else new around here always busy with farm work I did get DH three new heifers their cute as can be mommas are Darcy and Darla. Darla is pregnant Darcy has a calf with her he hasn’t named the calf yet it’s a little girl too. Girls came with names.

Hugs 🤗 prayers 🙏happy stitches 🧵

Jana so sorry to hear of Scott's passing. Surgeries are not free of difficulty and even though we are told this, we don’t expect it to happen. I lost a FIL years ago the se way. So glad Sandee has a support system in place. Prayers for comfort in the coming days.

I have been busy and therefore MIA. Please forgive me for not keeping up. I am checking in with the swaps and sewing a stitch hear and there.

Today is oil change (typing as I wait). Then the bank and a lunch meeting with the niece of my ex patient. I think I mentioned her before, 103. Family decided she needed a trip across the country. It was to be 4 weeks but she passed the 2nd week. I thought it a bad idea but you can only say so much. It is their decision.

Sounds like everyone is busy. And just to mention Holidays are right around the corner.

I did get the angel done for my Starry Night quilt. Now to pick fabric for my Shepard and Joseph. Need to put the metal to the floor and finish my swap and lotto stuff.

Got through the process of design for ramp and it is due to be installed on the 27th.

Not much else going on here that needs to be discussed anyway. Have a great day everyone.
