Re: Thursday, March 13 - Friday Eve!!
Good morning!
It is cold down here in the Batt Cave - DH washed the cold storage area yesterday and then opened all the windows in the basement to help all the concrete dry - this is the last area in the basement that had all the open unfaced fiberglass insulation - it is now clean down here and the railroad is being started. That room is a storage track area for the railroad and my cold room for food storage. All of the Christmas that is currently in my way of the LA will have a home under the track tables. The dust and dirt in there was terrible - now it is usable.
Beautiful day here in the Mountain West - no weather for those East to watch out for - just blue skies coming your way.
Babysat twice for my little grands - Matt was given center court tickets to the pro baskeball game last night - last minute - so I went down to his house and played with the little ones. Made for a long day for me, but lots of fun. The tickets were only 7 rows back from the center of the playing court! They had lots of fun.
So my day is quiet and boring - just the way that I need it! If the concrete is dry later this afternoon, Michael will put the sealer on the floor. After that is dry I can move everything back to where it goes.
Do something fun!
Hugs
Jana

Vicky, that is a beautiful quilt! My mom's favorite color is blue, she would totally love it! What is it called? I may have to make that for her if I can find the pattern

Tina here is the book and the quilt is called Shakespeare in the Park.
Judy is an "old school" quilter. She uses templates. I didn't, I made my blocks the fast and easy way and only used her book as a "guide" for placements. This quilt has that WOW!!! look but it is so easy, two blocks and setting triangles is all. Go for it!

Jerry almost has dinner ready... spaghetti... and a big green salad...
Cindy.. funny the way you say you're working on your rooster.. It always makes me think of that saying.. he rules the roost and I rule the rooster...lol....
Jules, sorry you're not your old self.. maybe taking care of everyone else didn't leave you too much time for you... remember to come here often for a good cheering up....I also think a bubble bath is in order... how is your sister and your parents? your elephant is adorable, has Charley claimed it yet?,,,,lol
Kathy, sorry the lap top isnt' working well yet.. but when it does you'll love it... glad Kim's issues is a co worker and not health related.. she will certainly get my prayers...I don't understand why people can be such butt heads...
Chickie.. are your niece and sis thinking up jobs for your mom to give her busy work or because they want??? enjoy your 70 weather.. ours is so wonderful and breezy.. but I so wish it would rain;...we have been stock piling water incase we run out..
Vicky.. as I read the posts from the east coast girls I add to my list of things to be thankful for... one of them is that my car doors don't freeze shut... how did you fix it? pour water on it? I saw on the news someone had a cup of water and threw it in the freezing air and it turned into snow.. is that true?
Sooz, what's got you down? you came to the right place.. we all have broad shoulders...I also have a broad backside but we won't go there...
Sherry, barns are fun...it is a big job putting accounts in your name and taking care of that kind of stuff.. here, the electric company wanted my grandmother to fill out a credit app to change the power bill into her name...I told her we'd leave it in grandpa's name.. so many loose ends to tie up... hugs to you...
Jana, I am glad your batt cave is coming together.. I so hope there are pictures coming.
Tina, woo hoo on finishing the bird house blocks...
Judi, I can't wait to hear about that quilt shop.. be sure to let us know if it really is big..
and the pasta is almost done cooking.. I am going to set the table and look at my mail..
you girls have a great evening

What a day! My computer had a virus and that meant I was off line for the day. Thank God for my hubby who played doctor.
Night everyone.
