Just a quick stop in today. I am going to go hide in a cave, drink Bloody Mary's and come out in 2015. I had to have Pepper put to sleep today. She took a turn for the worse and wouldn't eat or could hardly walk. The furnace went out again this morning so I just called them and told them to order me a new one. I am tired of messing with it. The last 6 weeks have really been taking a toll on me. I lose my DH and now my beagle Pepper.

I am so far behind on reading all the notes. Will try to get that done soon. Prayers for all who need them.

Sherry

Over wknd pulling my hair, internet bill overdue 1 day disconnected.. Took few days before bill fixed, same with prop. tx. Did lunch with stepmother, OK.. Food good! Weather seem to be improving. My roof is steaming from sun scorching on the snow..

Ready for a power snooze. Doesn't take much stress at my age to get tired.

Sherry—my sincere condolences. That is one of the most difficult decisions ever to make. HUGS!!! And then the furnace… I always figured that when I got dropped hard that I’d bounce back higher than before. YOU WILL, TOO!!! I’ll have that bloody Mary with you so you won’t be alone!

Chrissy—wonderful news for Myles!!! What a little trooper! Hope he starts thriving now!

I went to town with DH to work on a rental. The dogs and I sat in the car in the sun and waited. I had a book to read. It’s nice to get off the farm once in awhile even if we didn’t get out of the car. DH is now working on his quail habitat. It’s 35 and sunny but a chilly wind accompanies the above-freezing temperature. I may have to take a walk later to get Odie some exercise (and me, too).

Yesterday afternoon, Tinker Bell was walking around the house and whining when she came around us. It was 20 degrees, but I bundled up, put on my boots and we went for a walk on the trail by the house. Of course, going down a hill my feet went out from under me, and I sat in the snow. At least I didn’t break a hip. We continued the walk. We came back, and Tinker Bell was happy to snuggle up on the rug and no whining was heard the rest of the evening. She is out with DH now.

My good ness - so much has happened since this morning.

Hubby is doing better today. He is awake and moving around some. He has eaten today for the first time in 2 days. He has many different things going on - blood clots in both legs, vascular ulcers on the left leg, diabetic, congestive heart failure, and so on. Right now, we are worried about cellulitis in the right leg which is the good one. He is usually a very good patient so that helps in the long run. With the ulcers on his leg, I change dressings on them daily. It gets a little complicated but it is helping with the healing.

I did make some banana nut bread a bit ago. Well, it in a cake pan so it bakes quicker.

Izzy - I firmly believe that make-up days for school are a total waster of time after a certain point in May. The kids are tired of it all and so are the teachers. AT that point, you are just babysitting. The cell phone is fairly important for us. We are out on the go so much for different appointments that it is often our main source to contact. We do have a landline because hubby has a pace-maker and it is monitored. And I update DH daily on the gals.

Scrappy Pat - I am glad that things are going better for you.

Judi - I want an Iphone so bad but it is out of the budget for now. And this was the first really big problem we have had with them.

Velda - When I had pneumonia, I was always coughing more at night. Our sun finally came out but before that, we were cloudy, gloomy, and cold. We are all the way up to 25!

MaryZ - Sewing on a machine is not work unless you are doing something that you don't like.

Eddie - Hello!

Cindy G - Your projects sound so neat. I would love to see them.

Miriam - We have been feeding the birds on the ground for 2 months. The snow was so deep we couldn't get to the feeders. There is still about 2.5 feet of snow where they are so I don't think we will be using them for awhile.

Jana - I would LOVE to take your Day and Night Quilt class. But, I do think it would be a little too far for me to commute from Indiana to Utah.

Sherry - I am so sorry about Pepper. Beagles are great loving dogs. When I had a beagle, when she was good she was my little beagle baby. When she wasn't, she was my little beagle beast. She ended by getting hit by a car. Miss that little beagle baby.

Leah - Glad that your meal with the step-mom went ok. And, isn't it crazy that you were late one day and they shut you off. I have a friend who was $5 short on a payment, and they did the same thing to her.

DGS had a great time at Pop-pop's and grandma's house. He helped me pay bills, cook, and a few other things. Can't believe how fast he is growing up.

Have a good evening -
Diana

Evening, all.

Things are still crazy around here with no sign of changing. Prayers being lifted for those who are hurting or sick.

Sherry - I am so sorry about Pepper.

Maryz - that is rotten what they did to Bill.

Tina - hope your stone passes quickly.

As for cell phones, we have a prepaid from t-mobile. Costs us $100 a year to refill minutes and I never use all of them. I take the iPad with us on trips. An iPhone would be great but not in our budget either.

Pat - lovely to see you!

Karlene you must be really busy.

TTFN xoxo Sharona

Jerry is frying chicken, Marilyn is doing math homework and lucky you, you get to read my post...

Scrappy Pat.. what a blessing to see you post.. I looked and looked again.. yep, it is really you.. gosh darn it's good to hear from you...hugs and prayers..

Velda, hope you're feeling better... I had this house down sized when the ex moved out.. so what did I do? I moved a new husband in.. and all his stuff to... my DH is a pack rat.. but he is starting to get rid of some of the junk.... I tried making that block you made me for secret pal swap.. what size square did you start with.. it really is a great block.

Cindy, first the log cabin, then the rooster and finally clean off the table... no sense in cleaning up now when you have so much to still do....can you take pictures of your room when you have time.. hopefully before the log cabin.. so that will be pictures, log cabin, rooster then clean your room...lol...does your table fold down on two sides.. did you buy it or did Don make it? don't laugh, he can make things...lol

Chickie.. I love the idea of a thimble mat for your mom.. you could put a strawberry from a pin cushion for her needle...here, if you use your cell phone to call 911, the call is routed to the nearest 911 center.. it may or may not be in your area.. here we have our local emergency (fire, sheriff) numbers stored in our phones for emergencies.

Maryz.. maybe the leak isn't in Washington.. maybe it's someplace else, but I thought they said washington on the news.

Jana, I just tried to read the city you live in.. is it "Harry Man" ???

Chrissy, great news.

Sherry, I am sorry about Pepper.. you've really had a lot on your plate lately... don't hide just yet.. we need you to keep us up to date on you.. we would miss you if you didn't check in often.. see you here tomorrow.. and the next day and the next day.. we are like a habit...hugs...

and now Miss Marilyn is waiting for me so we can watch the last Castle episode.. I think I will get on my jammies and join her..
