Diana—I saw a neat Youtube video on making a kaleidoscope quilt using 10” squares and no special ruler. It didn’t use the triangles in the 4 corners, so you didn’t get the total effect, but it would be neat for a quick quilt. I really like your idea of the ombre fabrics. I think McKenna Ryan has some that might be perfect for you in gray/silver and aqua. I’m so sorry for the loss of your mother to that horrible disease.

Velda—I love your flip flops! Can’t beat the sale, either!

Izzy—those rainbow blocks are beautiful! Life is definitely like a box of chocolates… I know your little DD is your joy; so glad you are specially trained to deal with what comes.

Hate to break this to you that are east, but we have snow chances back in our forecast. I think Odie and I will get a walk in and see what DH and DS3 are doing at the quail habitat. This is supposed to be one of the nicer days this week.

I'm off to get ready to meet my sister. My reds are washed & I pulled out fabrics to make pillow cases for that 1,000,000,000 pillow case cause for children. I have enough to make 11. On Sat there's a pillow case sewing day.

I reserved my seat for the 10 friday show with El at Paducah. OH YEAH I am stoked so ready to sit and laugh. I cant wait for the show should I put a countdown on the site LOL

I did the feeding by foot such a pretty day [not by real choice wheelie wouldnt start] but I was sweating by the time I was done. Now eating chips and salsa and big glass of water waiting for DD to arrive:)

So sorry to here about Pat....it is never easy. My brother died from Pancreatic cancer he did live 4 years after being diagnosed but most of thst time he was sick. It is a bad one...Praying for Pat and her family.

Chickie - I did see that according to the Farmers' Almanac, we are in for the polar vortex thing off and on until the end of March. CRAP!!

Velda - Love the "flippers" as I call them. I wear those things in the house most of the time. I don't wear them in public because I have the ugliest toenails on earth. There isn't enough nail polish on earth to cover them up. So, shoes and socks all summer long.

Just read about Pat. I am sitting here in tears and shock.

Prayers for you and your hubby today, Pat. May God be with you thru all of this and bring some form of comfort and peace. Wish I could be there to give you a big hug, and hold your hand, and just talk to you for awhile. May you be surrounded with many many angels of support to bring the help you and your family need right now. Hospice is a wonderful group to be at your side at times like this.

I am at a loss for words but please know the love and compassion in my heart, the prayers and hugs, being sent your way, and the feeling that we should all surround you like a giant worldwide quilt, covering you with our own strength and faith, and the warmth of caring and love.
