couple answers to your questions on Lets go farming.

Babies are taken off mommas at around 8 to 10 weeks. If not mommas become very thin making milk for babies to nurse. Some take off at 6 weeks but I feel babies need more nurishment.

Yes I do milk my nubian goats. I am milking one with one more ready in another month I also make butter, and now with two will tackle cheese and soaps too.

Well, I have finally finished Lydia's quilt. It is in the washer and then I will make the label tomorrow. I will post a picture before we send it.

Good afternoon....

The circus was fun! I think Lucy enjoyed it more than Cooper. He remembered me taking him a few years ago. Lucy was too little to remember. I am glad I took them. We have a dinner/talent show tonight at church. Macaroni Grill is providing lasagna and they are having salad and bread. It is a fundraiser for the youth for mission trips and camp.

Chriss....there were lots of clowns!! Lucy was afraid of them. Coop didn't like the camel ride. He said it was because he wanted to sit in the front. As far as kids these days and food? I'd be embarrassed to send cereal with my child. So what did she eat? Cereal and anything else?

Izzy...let me know when you make goat soap. I want some!! Sorry you got snow this time. We didn't!!! haha

Vicky...Have fun at your birthday party. That's pretty neat that your son and grandson are the same age. I often wonder how my kids got to be so old because I'm not that old! :)

Well I am going to go fold laundry. I hate folding clothes. I don't mind doing laundry just not the folding and putting away.
I hope every has a good evening.

Sharon

Went to my workshop, lots of ladies came, stayed for lunch, and weather let out some, and made for a more pleasant excursion.

Finished my block, and plan on bringing hand work to future mtgs. Much can be accomplished..

They had other workshops going...

Good afternoon. We had a spit of white stuff most of the day—no accumulation, and it never rose above freezing. No sun. It’s such a gloomy month so far.

Mom was doing well. We talked quilts, those mitered corner receiving blankets, looked at my new McCall’s Quilting, and I vacuumed for her. Then I had to go get a few groceries.

CindyB—so sorry for your loss. Hugs to you!!!

Last evening, I came out of the bathroom and saw something on the floor in the bedroom. It looked like a pair of socks stuffed inside each other, and I thought it was odd they were on the floor. When I turned on the light, and upon closer inspection… a RAT!!! One of the dogs, and I suspect Tinker Bell, had brought me a gift—one I would rather she left outside. Oh well, one less rat in the neighborhood… Oh, yes, it was deceased when it was brought in the house. I am so glad!!!

Becca—I’m sure the lady will appreciate the warm slippers!!!

Sharona—I’m so sorry for your BFF’s tragedy. I have daffodil leaves peaking up as well. I noticed them the other day before it snowed.

Debi—your feast sounds fantastic! Wish I were there!

Chriss—I didn’t see the coin toss, but I remember Broadway Joe in his big fur coat eons ago. Definitely a pimp coat! My chickens will be winging their way to Vinae the first of the week.

Sorry this is short. Just wanted to check in with you. I’m going to do some hand quilting for awhile.

Enjoy your evening!
