Good evening,,,just dropping by to wish everyone Happy new year....My dear friend and quilting student asked me to convey her deep (tearful) thanks for the BC quilt///She got it today....I mailed it yesterday...she has surgery thursday so pray for her,,,,And a big thank you to the post office for their speedy delivery....I didn't even send it any special way....told the clerk most economical...and it got there in one day....they live about 65 miles from me. I am amazed. God knows what HE is doing....
I started to de-decorate.....it is fun to put the Christmas stuff away...I enjoy it but not as much as getting it out...I am spring cleaning as I go....also decluttering drawers and shelves. If Purple Heart calls I will have some donations for them. I got all the snowmen packed away and the stairs are clear///I will work on it tomorrow....I have the ham stock cooking...and the yellow eyed peas soaking....we bought yellow eyed peas instead of black eyed for luck this year..I found them at an organic market and thought I would give them a try. I cook the ham stock the night before,,,,strain it and put it in the fridge....tomorrow I will skim off the fat and add the peas and other stuff and cook it down to the (stinky soup) Corn bread and white bread should do it.
Well off to sew a bit and maybe have a decaf coffee.....we thought the gym was closed tomorrow but they are opened so we are going....Ken gain a bit of his weight back and he is want ing to go...(maybe) we take off sundays,,,
