Good morning!!

I wasn't able to get on yesterday and today I must do a drive-by posting. We're going to have another grandbaby June 16th-ish - we found out Thanksgiving day. YAY!

We're getting ready to head out the door - we're taking granddaughters and their parents to breakfast before they head on down the road.

Love to all! xoxo Sharona

Good Morning Girls

YEAH It's Saturday... need I say more! Having the first of many cups of coffee today--will need lots of caffeine to get through the day--so much to do this weekend. Went to Joann after work and picked up MORE minke for scarves and hope to get them all done today--have another 15 or sew to make for co-workers. After that I need to start on a couple Christmas gifts, we are having SS at work too so I have some mittens and a little tote bag to make for my Elf.

Teresa.... not that I needed MORE Christmas fabric, but I did pick up a cute little piece to make the LOTTO blocks!! YES I'm in... they look so darn easy that I bet I can whip up a few in NO TIME! Next weekend will be my decorating day! I have a village of Precious Moments figurines that I haven't put up in years...think I just might haul that out this year!

Vicky.... you are so brave to go out on Black Friday! I'm not much for huge crowds, and I always have to work that Friday. Sorry to hear there is dissention in your church.. seems to me that that is one place where everyone should come together. May God shine His light on all of you and bring you together.

Maryz... would LOVE to see pictures of you tree! Mine is in the box in the garage! So easy to put up, but I sure miss the smell of a real tree! Turn on some rockin' music for that dance with Mr. Maytag... and know that I will be doing the same thing.

Judi...What kind of village do you have? Dickens? My son Shawn has the complete village from "The Simpsons"! He also has a big HUGE BLOW up of the Dad that he puts on their porch every year. Shawn... is a goof ball! Would love to see a picture of the village when it's all done!

Izzy... 6 O'clock is LATE for you! My goodness! Good to hear that Miracle and Peanut are getting along. How many lap quilts did you end up with for your project?

Suzette...YEAH for no scar! When I had a lump removed, they had to cut right through the middle of my Irish tattoo--Would love to go back to Dublin to get it fixed--where I got it in 2000!

Sharon... YEAH for a new grand baby!!!

Velda...sounds like you have a lot of sewing to keep you busy! Did your runners all work out once you fixed the "glitch"? I'm thinking that Lotto block is super easy too. Might try one or two today.

Becca... Hope you are feeling better soon! On my grocery list for tomorrow is a bunch of apples.. my friend down the street told me how I could make dried apples in my oven so I'm anxious to try it. They make a great snack!

Okay girls, I better get going... the kitchen is a total mess, so I need to clean that up before I head downstairs. Think I'll turn on some Christmas music and get in the holiday spirit.

Will likely come back when I take a break and check in with y'all again.

In the meantime.. wishing you all a most wonderful day!

Good morining..

today is all mine... I am going to make a few blocks, then finish tieing that charm scrap quilt and then I would like to layer the GFG I got for my b-day and figure out something for my bed.. just not sure what yet...

Mar may go spend the night at a friends house, we have had this girl here often but her mom has only had Marilyn once.. so we will see...

Suzette, sorry your sleep is mixed up...you really have come out of this wonderfully... huge blessing.... I didn't know your grand would be there in only two short weeks... my goodness, I thought there was much more time than that.. how exciting..

Teresa, I am a little pooped out too.. yesterday we made turkey soup and today it will be turkey pot pie.. there is still enough left for sandwiches and I still have all the other fixin's...hope your kids get there soon for that decorating.

Lois.. I have learned the "I need to see and feel it before I buy it" fabric rule.. hope if you do go out that today is much calmer in the stores.. Mar couldn't believe what she saw on the news about people fighting and crowding...

Vicky.... I am so sorry about the church issues..it's really tough getting settled into a church then having it disrupted...I also am proud of Tia and her family.. they have made a decision and followed it..even though it differs from your opinion they are standing for what they think is right for the good of their family just like you are... this is the girl who's biggest need in life at one time was a spaghetti strainer....you are a wonderful mom.. you have great kids.

Becca, looks like babies will pop up all spring for you.. happy grandbaby season to you...

Maryz.. your DGS could publish a cook book.. wouldn't that be a cool gift.. he could prepare the recipe's and you could make them into a book and have staples bind it... glad you got your tree.. I am surprised Jerry hasn't put ours up yet, once he and Marilyn did it before turkey day... they will never do that again.. it was the worst holiday ever...good thing Scottie is a dark color, you'd lose him in the snow if he were white....

Velda, I think you inspired me.. I have a new Quiltmaker magazine and it has a 6 part series pattern to make a quilt... I think I may make 3 of them and then I will have 3 gifts.. fingers crossed that I finish what I start out to do.. I am excited to see your santa's.

Judi, hope you have tons of fun decorating.. I know this is your holiday... it will be a wonderland in your house.

Izzy, glad those kids are surviving... and that you are getting that sewing done.. how many lap blankets did you get done? when will they be delivered.. I bet the Nursing Hope patients will be thrilled.

Sharona, how excited.. sounds like this forum is going to be full of spring babies...enjoy your breakfast.. glad your holiday went well. and when you get home it will be nice and quiet.. until the construction starts...

Maryq.. happy SS gift making.. what a fun exchange to do at work...how long do you make your scarfs? enjoy your day... and those apples, let me know how they came out.

I think I need a little breakfast then it's off to my room... I am going to have fun in there... feel free to stop by if you like

Good Sunny Cold Morning.....

I AM HOME!!!! I got in about 2am & slept until 10am. I had the most fabulous time in Austin. Did I ever tell you my Grandchildren are exceptional, beautiful & oh so smart!!!!!.....LOL Every minute was wonderful! They got so tall. The plan to volunteer on Thanksgiving didn't work out. There was a line half way around the block & those were the volunteers...about 400! After an hour my DGS was out of patience & we were no where near the front of the line. The Thanksgiving dinner from Whole Foods was very good. It was so hard to come home and leave my DD, I miss hanging out with her. I have their Christmas list so now I'll switch to Christmas mode. I missed you all & was thinking of you on Thanksgiving. I have to go back to get caught up on all your goings on.

Love & Prayers.....

I have a total of 25 tops made for the NH project. I have 10 with backing, batting and pinned. I have 2 tied so far next to machined to finish binding today. Lots of work to do. I am hoping to deliver these ten before Chrismas. Then will get the rest delivered in Jan:))

Yes 6am was late normally in barn at 5:) I still have to go back and do water. Was dead this am and only did hay and check on babys and replace heat lamp bulbs:)

Suppose to warm up some here next week so hopefully next weekend is pretty so I can let them all out in field to stretch their legs a bit and play with each other:)

Can you believe it they will be two weeks old this week:) Grow up so fast LOL

MARY Q - your wish is my command! Check the photo section for our tree pix
!
CHRISS - a cookbook would be a great idea! When he devises some recipes I'll keep it in mind.
