Good early afternoon from cold, dreary, rainy, yucky, Sw. Pa....I guess we're in for some winter weather and that means bring out the heavy duty flannel sheets and turn the electric blanket to BBQ......

Suzette, many, many prayers are coming your way today and we all know, with the help of those prayers, the outcome will be good.....

50 years ago today, hard to believe...Jim was working afternoons and we had just finished lunch and turned on Mike Douglas when they broke in with the announcement...He did go to work but most of his people had called off and were going to church....I don't think I left the house the whole weekend and stayed glued to the TV...Those memories are as fresh today as they were back then....Still can't believe it!

And as Chicky said, don't you wonder what the world would have been like had this not happened....

Izzy, so sorry to hear about the latest baby not making it...Boy, you sure have been busy...You have an extra big heart for all that you do....Very anxious to see the photos.....When I was growing up (on the farm), I had a very spoiled pet goat but he was a stinker...He loved to "dance" on the roof of the car and we had a heck of a time when we'd get company...

Maryz, I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one that has strange dreams....So, Chriss and Chicky are neighbors and they didn't know...Strange???? But, wouldn't that be nice...

Chriss, I too am wondering what you might have to do next year for that discount.....Sounds like you're going to have a great weekend....I sure do miss those girly days...But, Kevin's wife, Cindy, is helping to fill the void...She is a sweetie, you'd love her....

Vicky, sounds like you also had a good day..Might not have gone as planned but turned out great....Not a good day for DH to be hunting...I did have a call from my sister and early this morning, her #2 son got a bear with a bow...He was so excited...I imagine he'll have it mounted, being his 1st...

Judi, so sorry to hear about your friend..It does sound like we're hearing more and more but then I think, it's good..Not good to have cancer but women are more aware and being checked and more lives are being saved....YOU, keep up the good work....

Well, I better get my buns in gear...We've finished the uglies and the laundry and now I'm off to sew....My sister called with an order for tissue box covers and could I please have them by MONDAY...Sisters?????She has another doc. appointment on Monday and for sure, she's buying lunch......

You all have a great day...............

Judi I want to help in any way I can. You know my sewing is next to none but I can sure send fabric, backing, batting or cash for postage, or to buy supplies. I can do fleece love knots blankets also. we are all in this together.
Sherry please contact me. I have something to send you by email if you have email that is going to make you smile just like your package is making Myles smile.
Syracuse University tried their best to find the package they sent Myles, to no avail. The gal who sent it is such a loving gal just like all of El's angels, she felt terrible that so ego executed they wanted it instead of Myles. 6they Re going to replace what was sent, but if you find anything on Craig's list hand autographed to Myles lemme. Know please. With all the love everyone shares here I find it difficult to think so done could do this
Extra prayers and. Positive thoughts headed out to all in need. We are all pink warriors in one way or a other, and we will help all we can

Just wanted to let you know I am home and everything went well. I did find another drug I cannot take for pain. Our hospital has valet parking and we took the extra key to the car. Well, we get home and we were locked out of the house!! Thank goodness one of our neighbors let our dogs out this morning and had a key to the back door. I will read and catch up with you guys later. Have a great afternoon

Well, I decided to share a progress photo.

Worked on the applique today. Now I see the directions suggest to do the applique before you assemble the top???? Should have read directions closer. Oh, well, it worked out OK anyway.

Suzette--so glad to hear you are doing well! I'm glad your neighbor had a key for you!

Velda--Your runner is beautiful! Those pinwheels extending into the border is what really makes it a stunner! Great applique, too!

Chrissy--so sorry a package for Myles was purloined. Can you imagine--a package for a sick little boy... sigh!

I returned from taking the cookies to my DD at work. So glad we aren't doing it this evening. I encountered drizzle half of the way home, and our temperatures are right at freezing now. Odie rode shotgun with me and got lots of pets from a couple of DD's co-workers.

Now, to clean up the house. DH had an emergency run to one of the rentals... It's always something around here.

On the way home, I listened to NPR on the radio--lots of memories of JFK...
