Re: Tuesday November 19,2013
Hey all just stopped in at farm to check on peanut before getting girls to go to dentist.
Peanut is my Nubian goat. She is my sweety. She is doing well. I just called vet to see if I need antibiotics since I had to actually reach into uterous 3 times to get babies out. Could cause infections. She is belowing for babies. I did milk her and she did well but is sad.
DFD is dear foster daughter. She is 33 with mental disabilities. We do adult foster care for adults who are mentally disabled and have no family or their family has aged to point of unable to care for them any longer. We have done this for about 5 years they usually live with us a couple of years and then want a change to new home. Dont we all LOL.
Well while I was in barn, Cookie came in and her plug is hanging so in a stall she went. Usually anywhere to today or week will deliver. Cookie has a prolapsed uterous though so I have to watch her because she can birth goat and uterous too. Last delivery was her first and she had a 9# boy that took her a while. So looks like night watch again:) Hopefully this birth will go without incident. She is in stall Peanut was in and Peanut is not happy. She had to go in an look one more time for her babies before letting cookie in.
No all my goats are not named after food LOL Cookie had a brother named oreo can you guess why? Yup she is black white in center and black and He was too but had speckled ears. Her head is all black.
I think she is only having one. She isnt that big this time. I will be surprised if two.
Lil momma went in stall too. Her tail muscles are completely relaxed and just waiting for plug to release. She goes day plug releases so I pinned her up too under heat lamp.
gonna be busy around here. Milking again and birthing babies. I will only milk peanut. Cookie and Lil mamma are boar goats.
Well I hope that clarifies my crazy life LOL. Now got to get ready to go get DD then drop off 82 Christmas Shoe boxes for Project christmas child then go get DFD for her dentist appt.
God bless and happy thoughts
Izzy

Recieved a card and gift from Sharona today Thank you from the bottom of my heart..
Laundry is almost done....Grocery shopping is done...It always take me longer if i stick to a list. LOL I bought enough for 12 meals so Ken is happy I have a list of things to cook....He picked most of them so he will like it....I go vegetarian if he wants something i don't care for. He is seriously thinking about going deer hunting this year yet,,,He doesn't go usually but DBIL wants to go....and He cannot go alone(the one who had the stroke) so ken might take him. If he gets a deer I will be a complete vegetarian as I do not eat venison....
Laundry is still in progress,,,,so I had better run or maybe walk to the laundry room...XXXOOO

I'm taking a break from sewing up my throw. I'm about 2/3 done sewing and my shoulders needed a break.
Our ground squirrel, whom I have named Fred, has moved his housing from under the sidewalk into the shed. There is a hole there that goes into the concrete and under the barn wall and that is where Fred has taken up residence. The previous resident was a large toad, but we did not see him this summer. But perhaps toad is still there and has invited Fred to move in with him. That hole opening sits right outside the barn entrance that David goes in and out of multiple times a day, and Fred likes to sit outside that door and keep an eye on things, which means he has several encounters with David each day. Fred seems to view this as a game of chicken and will sit very still until David is about to walk over him, then Fred will make a diving leap for the hole entrance which scares David to death because his mind is usually on the reason he is headed out to the barn at that particular time. So hopefully soon Fred will stop giving David near heart attacks.
Alright, I've had my heated rice bags sitting on my shoulders for a while and I think my tea has cooled off enough to sip. I need to get back and finish up the last bit of sewing on the throw. Have a good afternoon ladies.

Good afternoon
)
I have been on a dead run since 9 this morning. I went and picked up a baby swing for Easton for DD's house and then I had to go and transfer our car and homeowners insurance to another agent, mine just would not call me back and I have given the man 20 chances since March, about 15 just in the last 2 months......I give chances but when I'm done, I am done! We've been his customers for over 20 years! I am so ticked at him! Just what I needed a little more stress in my life. Went to PT after all that then to Walmart and now here I am. I feel exhausted.
Izzy, I am so sad for your momma goat, I hope she'll be ok. Our nephew is starting to raise goats and he has some cuties but they aren't very little. He has 2 boys and they are stinky guys LOL he does have 1 that started this whole mess and he is so super cute and nice, I thought it was a girl cause he doesn't stink or anything but he was someones pet and he's fixed
) his name is Toby and he is a love bug! Toby stays in with the girls.
sister just called. gotta run
Prayers for those in need.

I really don't know how to say thank you to everyone for all the cards, prayers, drawing supplies and prayers and positive thoughts that keep coming to Myles. when we stopped to check I on him to ight and bring our daughter a few groceriesMukes and I. We're talking and he said, momma you must have a lot of friends. I said why, he said because they send me mail all the time. Sherry, just wait until he finds out what you live close to.
Update. the iron infusion. Has to be scheduled so they have to work it around the remicaide treatment. SO now on dec. 5 there will be a meeting of the team and our daughter, at that time they will review all his current results truck all of the treatments. And then schedule surgery. It might even end up somewhere around Christmas.
Thise of you that have written to me, with information about your families, give us so much hope. I always tell our daughter what everyone shares.
Words will never be enough to express our appreciation for all the support.
Prayers and positive thoughts being offered up for all those in need.
PINK WARRIORS. You keep on going strong, we need every one of you.
Sweet dreams
