Back for a brief minute -

The backyard grass is about half done - they are flying on getting down - but what did I expect - the friend laying it is a airline pilot! LOL We have a huge storm that we can see coming at us from the north - very cold wind and the rain will be here in an hour or so - so they are hurrying to get the most down before the rain hits.

Jean - welcome! this is a great place to come and visit - all the time! Love to see the sewing room - a small garage is what it takes to fit most LA's!

Chris - I can't handle some smells too - the scents that they use in candles is the worst! Way too much scent and gives me headaches too. So all the candles around here are scentless and flameless - I love those - just put the battery in and poof candlelight and no worries!

All right - who ever mentioned how close to Christmas it is - should be beat with a wet noodle! I need more time in the day to get things done - and people keep adding to my list! Well, I am the worst offender - a friend up the street, due with her baby next week - brought me down the other child's blanket for her bed and I volunteered to put on the binding. It is the first quilt she has ever made - took her about a year to get it this far - so I will finish it for her. Now to get started on my Christmas sewing!

Well the backyard needs a sidewalk supervisor - that is my job - just need to get out the winter coat - it is cold out there!

Good late afternoon from warm, sunny, purrrrfect, Sw. Pa....I am really late to day, have had a busy day.....

Once again, I went to lunch...Once a month we go to a theme type luncheon and today was "Afternoon in Paris"...Everything was French right down to the Éclair for dessert..And once again, everything was delish....It's no wonder I'm getting fluffier......

Mary, I did have to laugh at your response about our "Goodwheel"...Years ago our store acquired a huge old garage...And left behind were lots and lots of big tires so a genius placed them on the hill side and planted them full of flowers, so the store has been known as goodwheel...Of course Jim's late DM always called it the "Dead Man's Store"...She said, when you die, that's where they take your clothes, so......Around here if anyone gets up during the night the furbabies think it's time to eat or get treats....You are going to post a picture of your finished quilt aren't you? I hope we don't have to wait until Christmas...

Chriss, boy I can understand about the odors...What's funny, I never had allergies until I turned 70 and my sister is the same way...The 1st time her's hit, they did think she was having a stroke, only to find it was allergies....But, there is nothing worse than being near someone that has used too much perfume.....And like the others have said, you should be so darn proud of what you and Jerry have done...You really have a special young lady, don't you?

Well, I think I best get moving....Our Pirates are playing an afternoon game and from the sounds coming from the living room, they need my help......

My mom called and my dad's appointment went well and he is feeling much better - PTL.

This is the first time in over 16 years that we are without a pet. I am thankful that I had a wonderful time with Gus last week - we got to spend a lot of time together out in the beautiful sunshine.

Karlene, Sorry about Gus, the kitty. Our pets are so precious to us, almost like a child only they don't talk back and they always love us unconditionally, more like a little angel than a person tho.

Your kitty is in kitty heaven playing with all the other pets that have passed on with the folks on this forum. They touch our lives in a way that people just can't do. Please know how sorry I am. Sending you lots of hugs today.

Vicky, no baby yet? Hope your day is going better today. Prayers for Tia, Jenny, and the unborn little one, and you too, of course.

Izzy, so sorry to hear about your DH's grandmother too. It is so sad to lose a grandparent and especially not to be able to say goodbye. Prayers for comfort and peace for all the family. May God be with you today and send angels of support for all the family needs. Hugs to you and yours today too. God bless you all during this sadness.

Chris, Congrats on Marilyn's political win. She is climbing the ladder of success and starting really early in life. Give her a great big hug from me. I am so proud of her and all the changes she has made in her life and yours too. May God bless your precious family today and always. God put some very special people together when he formed this happy family, yours. Love the stories about Marilyn. She is growing into a fine young lady, thanks to you and Jerry.
