Good Morning Girls

Up and showered already... just waiting on a phone call to see if I have to go into work today. Crossing my fingers that the phone doesn't ring! It's actually CHILLY here this morning, would be a perfect window washing day, except that it looks like it might rain... so never mind that... guess I'll plan on more sewing today. Need to stash dive and find fabric for the Sept Lotto blocks!!

Got most of McKenzie's quilt --quilted and if I finish that and can get the binding on, that will be my TV watchin' project. Tho I work late shift again all this week, so there will be no TV watchin' at night.. it's home from work and straight to bed! Even got ALL the laundry done and ALL the ironing done, so no dancing with Mr Maytag for me!

Suzette.. OH MY GOSH I hope that water problem is solved easily and quickly and that it didn't leave a mess in your tub!! Can't wait to see your braid quilt... I have a gorgeous jelly roll my SIL bought that I'm itching to do something with.. when I finish the other million projects on my to-do list.

Chickie... isn't that what credit cards are for? Stash shopping? Luckily for me at that time.. DEX never saw the credit card bills and never saw the checkbook either--totally oblivious and that's the way I liked it!!

Maryz... here's a trick for window washing day... If you use paper towels... loop a roll through a belt and tie the belt about your waist.. you never have to remember when you left the paper towel! My room mate says she'll help me wash windows.. but we'll see if that really happens!

Sharon... I bet you are running around like a crazy person getting everything packed. But how exciting to be in a new place in time for the holidays. Too bad I can't come and help you, I'm an expert packer having moved 5 times in 10 years!

Jules... I sure hope you get all those uglies done so you will have time to play!!! Does school officially start tomorrow for Charley? Wishing her a wonderful day!!

Well girls, I think I'm going to head down and see if I can do a little more quilting this morning before/if I get called into work. Am hoping not!!

Wishing you all a most wonderful day!

Good morning. Dreary today foggy and overcast this morning. I really should have looked out before stripping all the beds this morning LOL oh well they are still going out on line. Another good rinse from rain wont hurt them LOL:)

Well I sewed til 10 pm last night it was nice I love 3 day weekends:) I got my first 3 blocks done for Sylvia bridal sew along. Wow I have never done small squares so that was different. PP was interesting did it wrong 3 times before watched video and did it step by step. Not bad but I agree need add 1/4 ruler. My ruler kept slipping. So that is a buy I will go do soon:)) I am also looking for the circle ruler that Missouri quilts used in a tutorial. Will check their site for both:)

Uglies are done for me today now have 4 online med courses I have to finisht today for our FHP certification. So off I go to refresh my memory on meds:) well after I check a few more pages here:)

Good morning!

Labor Day - no work? Yeah right!!! Today is the big furniture part of the move to Sarah's new house and I will have little one. I just heard him walk in the house.

So while the move is going on - DH, Ethan and I will be going to a baseball game in SLC with Matt and all of his family. Should be lots of fun, as long as it doesn't rain. SLC is the home for the Triple A farm team to the Angels in MLB. Wish it were my Giants! Oh well, this will have to do - it is baseball!!

So no sewing for me today -

We took a ride yesterday - up American Fork Canyon and around the backside of Mt Timpanogos - a 13,000+ mountain and back down through Provo Canyon. We drove past Sundance Ski Resort, owned by Robert Redford. It was a beautiful drive - switchback roads and all! LOL - mostly at about 20 miles per hour. Fall is already here! The trees in the back of Wasatch Front started turning their beautiful fall colors - many many reds and golds - so beautiful! Sorry to say that it won't be long til that old cold white stuff appears again!

Speaking of bridges, I saw that the Bay Area is switching over to the new bridge, sad day for me - I love the old bridge - my Dad was a iron worker and built most of the bridges in the Bay Area.

Well, need to push around the new vacuum - it works really well and is so much lighter than the old one - maybe it will get used more often - LOL

Hugs
Jana

Good late morning from partly sunny, warm, Sw. Pa....We might be getting rain later but so far so good.....

From reading the posts, you gals are laboring.....This is a holiday, we're to take it easy right??? But, I sure do love to read about all the quilts that are being made and also feel the pain of those uglies.....

Our weekend has been very relaxing or maybe just plain lazy! Didn't do much yesterday but visit and eat (and my hips can attest to that)...Today we had a few uglies and that might be it for the day....Jim had wanted to go to the Farmers Market but I told him JoAnn's sounds better...He doesn't mind, the Pirates are coming on and he'll be glued to the TV....And as you've probably heard, no black arm bands in this house this week.....Good game the other night......

Would you believe, 58 years ago my oldest DS came into the world, although his birthday isn't until the 5th...Being our 1st, I had no idea I was in labor, didn't feel right and my Mom said I'd better get to the hospital...Well, 45 min. later, Jim was born...Our regular doc was on vacation, back up doc was playing golf so we just showed up...But, he came so fast, we didn't have a doctor any how...I still have the bills and I believe the total doctor bill was $50.00...Of course that was back in the cave days....What is neat, 2 years later, my sister had her 1st one on Labor Day...She always had to copy what I did! What I think is a miracle, is DS is way older than me, passed me by, years ago.......

Well, JoAnns is calling.....I need sashing for the tee shirt quilt, yarn for a afghan I'm making and I'm sure I can find lots and lots of other things I can't live without......

You all have a great day and enjoy the holiday......

IRISH - happy birthday to your baby boy! My mom always said her kids' ages were their business and her age was her business. What a neat story. Hope you didn't have to pay the doctor! I almost thought I was going to be delivering my first grandson as the doctor was in the room next to my DD's, delivering her friend's baby, and Drew wasn't waiting!

JANA - are you teaching Ethan to root root root for the home team?

LOIS - thanks for the congrats. We are so excited. We hope to meet him this week. In the meantime, as we look around, there's much puppy-proofing to do in our house. First on the list is hide all our shoes!

CHICKIE - so far, I've been ignoring my windows, too. But this week, I need to get at least the 'company' windows washed. Even I'M ashamed of them!! Sounds like even your relaxing days are full of chores! But the street dance and food sounds fun! Let's do that next time we're in town!

MARY Q - you ARE the queen of jobs and I'm sure windows are in that job jar somewhere, so I have faith that your helpful household hint is a good one!

Well, I have 15 min to sew before the oven timer goes off and I have to head to the washer/dryer. Bye for now!

Today is Emily's 20th birthday. We have been out shopping (Penney's, Joann's and Sam's) and went to lunch. We seen Shannon and her DH at Penney's so she gave Emily her present early (A Penney's gift card!)
We are having the sisters over (Shannon and Tia and their family) for cheesecake later.

I bought more diaper insert fabric at Joann's, 40% off for the towel material the flannel was 50% off today and then I got 15% off. Not bad.

I haven't had a chance to get in the sewing room to make my SBS blocks yet but I'm very excited to get started on them.

Have a great and sun-shiny day!

Well, I finally got through all the posts. I had to catch up on yesterday's reading as well. I started reading during coffee hour this morning, but got side tracked with a computer problem. Then I was so mad at the computer, I just got off of it, period.

DH is napping, so computer visiting is a nice quiet activity.

Sorry to hear about Lyn's Mom falling. That's hard when you are so many miles away and can't be a part of the helping team. My thoughts are with you.

So excited about the "puppy" news. Hope the times passes quickly for you and you can begin cuddling your new 4 legged son.

Happy to hear all the quilty news too. Many projectes are getting completed and you ladies are so quick. Some of you just whip them up in no time!!! I am so amazed.

I hear you all talking about the Sept. Lotto blocks. They sure are pretty and I am quite tempted, but I am sitting this month out. We are hoping for some cooler weather and cooler nights, so fishing will be our priority for this month. Besides, I have many other sewing and craft projects that I need to complete. I will certainly be reading and following all the posting and pictures. Good Luck to all of you who are making entries.

Today is suppose to be Labor Day and rest from labors, but I just had to clean house. Once it was done, I felt so much better. The place now looks clean and neat.

I feel snack time coming on with a nice cold soft drink in one hand and snack in the other. LOL

You all continue to enjoy your day, and I will too.

Good evening!

Late here - just got home from the ballpark - the home team got spanked big time! That means we lost. Ethan was a very good boy the whole time as well as the other little boys. Just as long as the treats I had in the diaper bag held out! LOL Emma had enough by the middle of the 8th inning - so we left early - not something that I usually do. It was hot and the seats were in the sun and Ethan is a redhead and would not leave his hat on - so I finally just took the sunscreen and lathered the whole head of that little boy - he did not get burnt!

Sarah got moved in today - only one near mishap - when they moved the truck - before the grand piano was unloaded - the piano started to tip over and bounced back against the truck wall - Stu and another helper jumped and grabbed the piano to keep it from falling over - it is safe and fine - on it's legs where it is to be in the living room - no damage done! The piano is around 90 years old as well - so it is a antique and worth a bit of money. The organ made it safely too. Now the unpacking begins - and the beds set up. I took the easy way - went to the ballgame!

So off to scrounge something to eat -
Hugs

Good evening everyone. Home from the family weekend get together in time to make my first apple pie of the season.
Mo' s girlfriend had him on face time last evening. He had libo for twelve hours on base. I think Myles and I had the worst time. at first I couldn't bring myself to go out on the porch And join in it then I realized that if I didn't he would've concerned S u am usually the cheerleader of the family. Myles had a hard time at first and was crying but Mo did t see it. They will get to see him in ten days for a day or two and then it is going to be a long wait until they do again. The good thing about camp leguine is that it is nc and that could be. Long weekend trip. The bad thing is that he is training for some really serious shooting.
Has anyone ever heard of a youth. Ten years old, being treated with Humara for Chron's? Myles is t doing so good and he is going to have lots more tests and then possible Humara.
Prayers and positive thoughts
