Ok I can chat now just got in from church and had lunch. DH and house guest gone to do electrical emergency for lady LOL Her drier wont work and its full of towels. :)

We worked all day yesterday in yard; our poor house guest will be ready for basic training trust me I am the worse drill seargent ever barking out orders to get things done LOL Dh was laughing at me trying to tell this poor kid how to use a wheelbarrow. Too funny he is city slicker on the farm HA ha. Needless to say he got better at it but I still got a chuckle when I asked him to give the pile of weeds I pulled out of flower beds to the chickens; his reply "YUK do they really eat this. LOL When I trimed the bushes and he had to throw those clippings to goats his reply was" Man you all waste nothing on the farm" I had to slyly reply wait till you see whats for dinner. LOL He was cofused when he saw it. My mom is German and when we were growing up she made us Lentil soup with dumplings and smoked sausage in it. Its really good but he had no clue what it was. He is alsays asking questions this poor kid lacks exposure. Oh my will he get an awakening at basic training in few weeks. Keep him in your prayers that he survives:)

Got two new quilt mags in mail so excited one has an owl door stop but I am going to use pattern to make pillow:)) This months mags have some really cute patterns. I stopped a couple of my mags and miss them but the price really has went up over the years. not to mention some were doing a lot of modern quilting and I really am not into that. I love the traditional patterns.

Quoddy good to have you join; I too am still a green horn but trust me these ladies are not mean to greenhorns like on those crab fishing boats:))

Kathy so sorry your dd is out of it; probably all the pain meds and possible infections? I am praying for both of you:))

Chickie and KS gals sorry to hear about rain. We got a one min shower yesterday; poor house guest thought we would stop working LOL nope just a nice cooling moment :)

Sharona I hate to iron and if I could ever train my DH how to hang up his slacks I wouldnt have too every sunday LOL

Well tomorrow is big day opening day for school here just for teachers students come on WED. Tuesday DH and I are having a date day last big fun day together before I go back to work. I will have to catch up on everyones posts on my lunchbreak; and cry on your screens since I wont be in my sewing room as much:(

Well going to look at new mags. and keepsake quilting catalog OOOHHHH good thing I dont live close to that place LOL I love their catalogs; pretty sunflowers on cover:)

Take care ladies and Keep God in your heart:)

Good afternoon from slightly cooler, slightly warm,(only in the 70s) SW. Pa....But, no rain which is a blessing.......

We went to early Mass this morning but came home instead of breakfast...The usual "gang" had a family reunion so no breakfast...Terry and the boys are mountain biking at Seven Springs and it's hard to tell when they'll be back..And when they do get back, they'll all be covered with mud, lol.......
It's been an eye opener trying to keep these guys fed...They are all like bottomless pits...I have a feeling I'll be back at Aldi's bright and early tomorrow....

Quoddy, you did a great job getting us started today....Monroeville Mall is about 7 miles from me but I rarely shop there any more..AND a pet store, that would rank next to a quilt shop...I love going to the pet store but do have a very hard time not bringing home the furbabies (cats/kittens)..We stopped at Petsmart the other night and Nicky was sure trying to talk me into another kitten...That's all we need! But, a huge welcome, you will find this is the "bestest" bunch of gals you'll ever find....And some of them do a lot of traveling in RVs and just might show up on your doorstep.....

Suzette, what a way to get awake! Years ago, our Simba used to stand up beside the bed and swat at Jim...But not, our youngest, Baby Girl, just jumps on my chest...She might be small but she feels like she weighs a ton....Will keep your SIL and the little one with heart problems in my prayers.....

It seems everyone likes or is watching Cedar Cove...I just think it's so enjoyable to actually watch a show with no 4 letter words...I hadn't read any of the Cedar Cove books but will have to check at the Library....And I agree, the scenery is gorgeous...I told Jim, we have to take a trip! And speaking of trips, my sister left this morning for the beach and didn't take me! I even took her to lunch, thinking I could butter her up but not a word......I will get even....

And now I better get morning....We were going to go to Kevin's but Jim said, he'd rather stay home and watch the game...I think he feels, if the boys come home, he should be here....So, I think I'm going to back some blueberry muffins for their breakfast in the morning.......

You all have a great day..................

I was just looking at the new Keepsake Quilting catalog and saw the (to me) scariest notion. An electric seam ripper. I could see it ripping everything. Fabric, thread and all.

Prayers please for my next door neighbor, virginia. She is 82 and they just went off to the hospital in an ambulance. Her husband is 85 and can't drive and uses a cane to get around. She called me and I went running over there. Then I stayed with Ken til the other neighbor came back with her car to go to hospital. They are so special to us and so many others. They have no family here, no children at all, just nieces and nephews and a sister all in Ill.

I am praying so hard for my dear friends. Thank you for your prayers too. God does supply all our needs and answers our prayers according to His plan for our lives.

Prayers for all on here who need them and I guess that is every one of us. May God bless you all today and always. Hugs and love thru tears, Shirley Mae

it's been a good day....

I have half of my Christmas swap blocks done and Marilyn and I went school shopping... and thank God Marilyn can still wear girls size 16 pants... she picked out very appropiate tops and we even found soccer cleats on the clearance rack.. it was a good day.

we only need to purchase undies and school shopping is finished...blessings all around.

Kathy, I am glad you are in a good place... and the blessing is no summer people...lol...prayers continue for Kim.. guess if she's out of it she must be feeling no pain...

Quoddy.. I am not sure there is any order to this forum...lol... first one up has to turn on the coffee pot and start the thread.. thanks for handling it today...

Jules, such a beautiful painting.....

Sharona, bet it's quiet at your house... does it feel strange?

Scrappy Pat.. was all the water due to the rain? glad you're on a hill...some day's generations from now they will talk of seasons... I think that the seasons are a thing of the past.

Jana.. I think we need pictures... I am confused and need a visual...

Maryz.. hope your quilts do great at the show.. when will we have the results?

O'Dorothy, seems there are a lot of bikers in your family.. it sounds like a fun ride... I think Nicky needs a kitten...

I am pooped.. Jerry is fixing spaghetti. I am considering sewing a few more Christmas blocks...

I need prayers for two things.. first Jerry's aunt in Illinois has had a series of strokes... she isn't doing well.. and second, we are going another round with the adoption people... thanks

you all have a groovy evening...
