Enough of my oomph came back and the quilt sandwich is pin-basted. It is so quiet in the office here in the summer. It is a good thing I can bring things with to work on.
The basement crew dug out the bushes around the edge of the building yesterday and have been digging out the outside of the foundation this morning, so there has been lots of trucks coming and going. The library is on the other side of the church so the library patrons use our parking lot and they are not so pleased to have construction trucks and equipment in the parking spots - but what are you going to do?!

Hi....
I'm killing a little time. I invited myself over to my neighbors to ask for some help & advice on things like A/C(slims like there's), water pressure & a handyman. I'm bring homemade blueberry muffins.
Then I'll be home to sew. I want to finish my tea pots.

Afternoon everyone - Everyone is busy, busy, busy with joyful going on's. Wonderful to hear!! I couldn't sleep at all last night so I got up and worked on the figures for the Log Cabin Lotto Block. We are making a variation that uses 1.5" and 2.5" strips made of flowers. I really like the block I just hope you all have flowers close at hand. Went to bed at 4:39am and got up at 11:30 after the alarm went off at 9:30, the Dr's office called to verify my appt for tomorrow and the neighbor dogs went wild from the UPS man - LOL. I did get some sleep.
Now I need to get into the middle room and take everything off the bed as Rob and Carlos will be coming home after work to take the bed apart to get my DD's daybed out from underneath. I just couldn't get rid of it years ago so now it is going to Jenifer's in AZ on the 3rd of August. It is very similar to the one that Chriss bought. SIL says he is painting it - LOL!!! No white for him.
After that I really need to get cracking on cutting 600 - 2" x 5" strips for Sis's quilt. I lost my mojo for a bit but really need to light a fire under my toush.
Any of you watching America's Got Talent??? Some of the acts I can't figure out how they made it through to NYC but a few are Brilliant!!!
I am also in love with Emmet and especially Colm from Celtic Thunder. Great additions to the show - sigh ... I turn on the DVD and listen as I sew. I'd love to buy the CD's. Maybe I should put those on my Christmas Wish list

I am in need of some suggestions for an Heirloom Baby Quilt that I can make using Jenifer's wedding dress. It is a two part dress with the bottom skirt (Lots of fabric) a beautiful blue. I have white fabrics with letters on it. Now for the pattern. Oh yes she thinks it's a girl

HUGS and LOVE always

Ok Poke me I am done. 21 qts of beans. I still have one more batch which I will do in morning. I have been canning since 9 am. My feet hurt from standing in front of stove and counters. I am headed downstairs to my sewing room now. Supper is done and I have kitchen cleaned up for morning.
Sleep well all. Really the reason none of us sleep is cause we have tooooooo many sewing projects in progress and our minds want to either finish them or start another. LOL So off to finish my christmas blocks.

Ladies I gave up quilting with the machine after I did maybe 10 inches. I need a lot of practice to get this. So I did it by hand and finished almost so a little bit more tomorrow and then I can do the binding...juju...
Have a good night

I know that this is NOT the 24th but we had a tragic event on this day.
We are very active in our local AMVETS Post #23. It is the oldest Post in Indiana and was the oldest active Post. We had a fire this morning that totally destroyed. Thankfully, no one was hurt but we have lost a ton of history. It was a very sad day for us - like losing a member of the family.
