Re: Saturday 13 July
Good Cloudy Morning...look like a little rain.
Jules....I like the sound of your trip today. I know you'll find something you must have.
Jacquie....happy to hear you little family made it back safe & sound.
Good for you riding your bike all around.
Lori....I'm sure you're having a wonderful time with the kids. How we miss them when they leave.
Lois....countdown day begins!!! Have a wonderful time.
Katherine.....Welcome to the group!! Come back every day!!
Sorry to hear about you cat. I've heard the shingles are very painful I'm glad you doing better.
Suzette.....a deak!!!! How wonderful!! There's nothing like sewing in God's light.
Judi....enjoy you trip & lunch. I'm sure you'll find a little something.......
Vicky....Goooooo Caleb!!! sorry to hear you're having some sewing pain....
Mary/Rose.....tinting the primer is a great idea. It's ugly day for me too..
I found a 1.1gal mess when I opened & turned on the light in the laundry room. A new bottle of Tide leaked out a tiny crack on the bottom. I new bottle...full bottle!! It's bad enough it's all over the floor but it leaked in the the dryer. I can see some in the drum too. I need someone to disconnect them & move them out so I can clean the floor. So that's my day!!
Love & Prayers.....

Re: Saturday 13 July
Good morning all. Farm animals fed this morning. My mile walk up and down hills to barns. DH looking at the new 4 wheeler today to get it; other one he was told about already sold.
Aurora is growing so much:))
Katherine good to have you. I had two indoor cats that both died with same thing within weeks of each other. I have never got another indoor one again but have two outdoor. Indoor become your babies and my outdoor too but I dont get as much cuddle time. Cat lovers just know you have to have one. It took me a while to get new ones; well mine are always strays that come along;with exception of Angel my solid white kitty. A lady at work had litter and I wanted solid white one and she had her:) My new addition this year is Chumley a lil gray and white tom cat:) Found him at post office and rescued him last month:)
Well need to go pick beans this morning while cool breeze a blowing. Noticed deer got in corn last night. Weather man has predicted 90's for next 5 days here YUK I have loved the past 3 with cool breeze. Got a/c off and windows opened and house fell 3 degrees already LOL crazy july weather here.
Will check in later hope all get to sew sew sew today:))

Re: Saturday 13 July
just a quickie... I need to get back to sewing...
Judi, I read where you wrote.."I have class on Monday"... I think you have class every day...
Maryz.. I wish that the gold my ancestors made trickled down to me.. but I think they lost it as fast as they found it.
O'Dorothy, you tell Jim that I won't cover up the oak either.. we have oak in our kitchen and bathrooms... I am wavering between a wood laminate floor in the kitchen or peel and stick tile... I love the wood but would my kitchen be too oakie...
MaryRose.. ugh, the lighting, I never thought of that being part of my paint trouble.. thanks...
Chickie.. next time I twist your arm please struggle at least a little bit...lol
Jules... I want to go.. wait for me...sounds like fun.
Kathy, sorry about the soap mess.. ugh...
ok, now I need some breakfast and it's off to get those Christmas blocks done.. I used a print as my background and hated it so I am starting over...the printed background was way too busy, these will be much better... live and learn...
hope you all have a marvelous day.
Chriss

Re: Saturday 13 July
Good morning!
It is the same as yesterday - cloudy and thunderstorms - but is nice enough to have the windows open for a little this morning - it will heat up in the afternoon.
Welcome Katherine - so sorry to read about your furball.
Well I am doing a very large HAPPY DANCE!!!! We got the walls in the sewing wing primed and the first coat of two of the paint up on them!!! YIPPEEE!!!!! The color that we are using is called Peach Tickle - from Lowe's - Valspar Paint - now as a quilter you would first think of a orange tint - nope - it is a bright yellow - I love it! Oh when I say bright - I mean bright! Sarah is coming over after she gets the uglies done at her house to put the final coat on. We do still need to sand part of the wing and add the texture - but where the sewing studio is, will be ready to start the move into it. We will assemble the shelving cubbies that will hold all my baskets of fabric first. We are working out the order of the move - so by next week I should be down there sewing. Which also means that the LA will be ordered!!!!! Another YIPPEE!!!
We got the Church bulletin done yesterday, so that is out of my hair - and the lawyer will be here at 2 p.m., so that will get things going on the FIL front.
So with getting the tractor stuck the other day, lawyers, painting, etc, it is never a dull moment here!
Oh yes, Ethan was our little helper in the basement painting, - he never got a drop of paint on himself - even with a open can and the roller tray out at his reach! What a sweetie!! He just ran around down there and played - didn't even try to touch the walls either.
Well, need to scoot - still a few uglies before the lawyer appears -
Hugs
Jana

It's been a coons age since I posted here! lol!! So I'm back to visit you all.
The weather has been gorgeous the past couple of days...but next week it goes into the 90's and HUMID....UGH! We've had just buckets of rain..
I'm working on machine quilting my Prairie Home dissappearing 9 patch..it's a slow process..with my RA sometimes! But it's getting there. I have a colorful 9 patch fireworks quilt ready to quilt also..it's a Christmas gift for our granddaughter. I finished 13 grocery totes to give to the kids in their Christmas bags this year, so I'm happy!!!!
Opps! Time to switch the laundry into the dryer! See you all later!!
Joanne

Re: Saturday 13 July
Good afternoon! Itās HOT on the plains, and DH, sons and grandsons are out mowing, raking and baling hay. We went to the fair this morning to watch DGD compete in the bucket calf judging. She did real well until the judge asked her some tough questions so she didnāt place in the top two. Hopefully she will do her homework so that in three weeks at the county fair she will ace and place! We came home and had brunch, then DH went to hay. I was going to the store and my truck has two flat tires on the front! They have been increasing in frequency, so I WILL have new tires! If I was caught with two flats out somewhere, ā¦I only have one spare!!! I took DHās car for my grocery run. Came home and put everything away, and now Iām on breakāpomegranate white tea, iced. This evening will be several hours of watering. Everything is baking in the heat.
Joanneāgreat to see you!!! You have been BUSY!!!
ChrissāI couldnāt struggle with you on top of me with both arms pinned to the ground!
Izzyāhere we have to guard our corn from the raccoon. Iām sure the deer love it, too.
Katherineāwelcome to you!!! So sorry about your purrbaby! I had a watch cat, too. He chased dogs and made them cry. I also had a cat with the crystals. My vet did surgery on him and enlarged his urethra, basically making him wee like a girl kitty. I also fed him low magnesium food. We had him for several extra years before he got cancer. I still think of him and miss him. He was white with one blue and one green eye; although he was neutered, he still went tomcatting around and came home pretty beat up sometimes.
Jacquie and Julesāhello to the both of you!!! Has the āBig Eventā occurred yet? I need to check the news and see if the royal baby has arrived. Before I went to the store, it was āany momentā. Of course, that was a male reporter⦠wonder if he knows that babies arrive in their own time!
Kathyāwhat a mess!!! So frustrating for you on your arrival home. That happened to me in the trunk of my VW one time. I donāt think I ever got all the soap out of the carpet! The trunk was carpeted, but not the carās interior! I loved that little car!!!
VickyāI ache for Caleb! I donāt like tests, either. I used to give ACT and GRE exams on Saturday mornings when I worked at the university. I canāt remember if I helped on any GED exams.
Laterā¦
DH called and I had to go pick him up from the hayfield. The tractor he was using overheated, so we ate dinner. He went back to mow. I am going to get the info off my tires and see if I can find some to order online⦠Well, AFTER I do the dishes and waterā¦
Have a great evening
