Good morning from the beautiful mountain west - it is overcast with thunder storms in the forecast - but they don't last long - just wait 5 minutes and you will have blue sky!

Don't know what is in store for me today - Michael is done working for the week - maybe some shopping - need to after the tractor escapade! LOL

Sarah and family are home from Yellowstone - they had a great time - Ethan has added a new set of words to his vocabulary - "Oh, Wow" - every time they go out to go see something in the park - he would look and say Oh wow! Favorite park was the Tetons in Jackson Hole - they are spectacular on the Wyoming side. It was on the Idaho side of the Tetons that I learned to ski - and fall down and tear up my knee! LOL

Time to scoot -
Hugs and Prayers

Good Morning Girls

Happy Thursday! Had a wonderful day off yesterday, tho I didn't seem to get much accomplished! The day just went by way too fast! Back to work late shift today and tomorrow... the off to the cabin for the weekend.. My last visit to the cabin.

My sis and I bought the cabin together 10 years ago, thinking that we could afford it.. but then my sis lost her job and her BF helped make the payments. I got to the point where I couldn't afford even my 1/2 so John took over. I deeded my 1/2 to Ann. Well, after about 15 years together, they have broken up and John has now paid off the cabin and it's his. We are going up one last time to pack up all the things that are OURS... like dishes that were my folks and misc. stuff. It will be very bitter sweet for Ann... she has a lot of good memories of weekends spent there. I haven't been up there for a couple years, but do have good memories too of spending hours staring at the lake while I sewed, and having my kids there too. For Ann it's time to move on and she is a much happier person without John in her life--lots of stress and tears in that relationship.

Maryz Oh please don't remind me that winter is coming!!! I'm dreading it already... I don't mind the cold... it's the SNOW I hate. Can't wait to see your Shamrocks... being a bit Irish myself!

Kathy... Safe travels home! Good news for your DD! There's just no place like home. Good thing we have SKYPE! Part of the reason I got a new I-Phone is so I can Face Time with Jen.. her computer internet is very iffy and I can never see her very well on Skype. All good wishes for your DD as she moves forward on her own!

Cindyg.. Will be thinking of you and Vicky today, know that it will be a tough day... and that the days ahead will be lonely for her.

Vicky...Glad you got Caleb into the Dr. Poor kid! Will definitely keep him in prayers for his tests! I'm sure he'll do great... he had a great teacher! Just peaked at your quilt!!! Oh my goodness that is gorgeous!!!! What a work of ART!

Lois... no worries about getting my grocery list... went to town to get a hair cut last night and ran over to the store for a few things. Didn't need a whole lot, but they didn't have any good grapes! They are such a great snack to take to work! Got raspberries and strawberries instead!

Chriss... I do like my red walls, had to use a coat of primer and two coats of the red. It's only on the lower 1/2 of the walls and the top is kind of a light cream color. You can't see them now because my room mates stuff is all over in that room. The girl doesn't NOT know how to clean! Supposedly she is going to vacuum today as she has the day off. Would Love to get all the carpets cleaned in my house, but with the cats, I might as well wait until they are gone! Yellow is one of my fave colors too. My bathroom used to be yellow and my kitchen is blue and yellow.

Jules.... Congratulations on your weight loss... I really gotta get butt in gear and try to drop a few... most of my summer clothes from last year are too tight! How fun to shop with Charley! Can't wait to see a picture of her in her new dress for Graduation!

Judi... my birthday is coming up--okay in November---but I LOVE all the ELLIE fabric!!! hint hint. Love going through old photos! I have boxes and boxes of them---was going to make scrapbooks for each of the kids... then I discovered quilting and that project went right out the window!

Karlene.... Peach sauce? sounds like a nummy topping for ice cream if you ask me!

Teresa.... Bummer about losing your contacts and your books!!! I'm still trying to figure out how to get a book on my phone. I found a quilt magazine, but you have to pay to read the whole thing. I did figure out how to put music on my phone tho! I'm learning! I posted a picture of my July Blocks this morning and with luck I'll get them in the mail today or tomorrow. Also posted a picture of a Christmas DP, but I'm not sure I like it.

Pat.... OUCH!!!! You did pretty good typing with one hand!! Hope it's not painful for you. I have a terrible fear off falling off a stool or ladder, I just know I'll break something. Tho I suppose if I broke my left leg, I could get out of going work and I would still have a right foot to operate my sewing machine! LOL

Jana...Can't believe that little Ethan is starting to talk already! I still picture him as a tiny baby!

Guess I better get a move-on this morning... find some stunning outfit to wear to work... we can't wear jeans or even capris on hot days... we have to look "professional". Can't wait to get back to work and see what notes are left on my desk. Heard from my roommate that yesterday was TERRIBLE!!! Lots of issues going on the management doesn't seem to be in a hurry to fix them! Oh well... I just do what I can!

Have a great day everybody

Back -

I should not be allowed in a LQS!! Sarah and went to see about some Christmas fabric - I am looking for blues and silvers - my niece's favorite colors to make El's new pattern for her - nope - none to be found, but as I was wandering around the store came across the cutest piece of fabric to make the curtains for the sewing room - a mini yellow stripe with beautiful flowers in yellows and a touch of black - just had to buy it!

I have a new Christmas kit - wallhanging- that uses small lights in the tree section to light it up - found that too!

I also ordered my new iron for downstairs - getting everything ready - now if they would just get it painted!!!!!!

Also learned that my DS3 was working on a piece of farm equipment - trying to loosen a bolt - when he finally succeeded, he fell back and broke his elbow! Ouch!! He is doing OK as far as I can tell from here, he is still in California.

Well I have things to get done and then I can play!

Hugs

Afternoon everyone. Today has been a crash and burn day for me. I came home from work early because I couldn't get a handle on my emotions and didn't want to take the chance of being in a situation that may cause me to do or say something that could cost me my job.

Jules congrats on your weight loss. How fun to help Charley with her wedding plans and dress hunting.

Vicky I'll be praying for Caleb. That itching from the poison ivy has to be uncomfortable. Prayers also that he does well on his GED.

Izzy the quilt you made for your mom is seow pretty. I am happy for both of you, you for your mom liking it so much, and her that she "finally" got one (when she thought she wouldn't).

Oh Judi, I took a peek at your summer porch quilt and fell in love with it. I have always liked that pattern, but your greens...WOW!!!...

Kathy it is good to see you will be coming home. Safe travels my friend.

Goodness, Maryz you do have a lot on your plate today. Yikes...Riley, no more half digested mice regurgitated on to mom's bed buddy. You'll end up being Riley on a stick.

Gotta go for now. The tear ducts have opened up again and I can't see the keyboard.

Mary/Rosebud

Good afternoon! No rain today! I was up early and worked for 3.5 hours watering, weeding, and clipping in the yard. I quit and took a shower when DH came home from coffee; then I fixed brunch. DS1 texted that he had a bunch of sweet corn in the back of his truck and to come and get it, so we did. I need to do something with it yet. There are two big shopping totes full sitting on my kitchen floor.

Scrappy Pat--so sorry about your injury!!! Did you get some rain? It looked like you may have.

Guess I had better go work on the corn...

Have a great evening!!!
