Cindy the wallpaper is done....and I managed to clean the basement and bought the replacement veggies....Ken also bought me a couple of (4 of them) hanging baskets for the porch. so it looks cute out there....I will plant tomorrow. right now I am searching for the already done binding for a quilt...I try to make the binding before I finish the quilt so it is ready to rock but I cannot find it;...so I will remake it and the old will turn up for sure. Hope I have enough fabric. I have about 75% 0f the appliques sewn and Annebelle is ready too. I killed a humongous spider down there....now I have the heeby jeebies thinking there are more...Ken laughed and said "Proud of you,,,,showed that spider who was boss". I answered,"and don't you forget it." it was huge and an orangie-red color....never seen one like it and I cannot even find my bug book to ID it....((((((shivering))))))

Ken is picking up Chinese for dinner and the Red Wings are playing Chicago in round 2 of the play offs. Life is Good////XXXOOO

Checking in for another quick one... Debby and I had a fun day! We are good for each other and the local economies... Today I won at the greenhouse; when we went quilt shopping in West Plains, she won! I found a bunch of beautiful perennials and a few annuals that I couldn't pass by. They jumped on my trolley, so had to come home with me! We checked with my DD, and she was really busy and couldn't go out for lunch with us. After Debby's appointment, we brought Chinese carryout to my DD's office and had a fun lunch with her in the conference room. She had to jump up and answer the phone a couple of times, but it was a neat visit. We got home in time for Debby to met her DGS's school bus (tomorrow is last day of school), and I planted my flowers. Now I'm waiting on the rain to come! I watered some, but it started drizzling then quit about as fast as it started... We have had the high temperatures and lots of wind, so things have dried out considerably and I could use some more rain.

I think about the only things I had nipped by the frost were a few small marigolds and some begonias that were left-over from last year in a pot and I'd set them out in the flower beds. No big deal. The tomatoes, I think, will make it as will my mandevillas.

I think I may go tomorrow to the nursery and look at trees and spend my Mother's Day gift certificate... I'm thinking--perhaps a Japanese red maple for in front of the house...

Vicky--congrats on the weight loss! It's exciting to see your progress on the graph!!!

Have a great evening! Hope the Red Wings and the Penguins win--when will they play each other???
