Re: Wednesday 8 April
Good (RAINY) morning from Kansas!!! This is what I started writing yesterday, was interrupted and never returned…
Good morning Cotton Pals! It’s a lovely day here! I should load the Kenmore and hang things out… we may be in store for a few days of rain and thunder storms. I can’t complain… remember how dry we were just a couple of months ago…
I am amazed that I almost nailed Elijah’s birthdate! I have a great nephew Elijah—great name!!!
Suzette—congratulations to you and your Merry Christmas baby!!! Sounds like you hit the deck at work running!!! Think of it as building quilting muscles and endurance!!!
Sherry—I need to get a Hancock’s catalog—so much fabric, sew little time… I hadn’t done anything with CW fabrics, but I’m really starting to want them, too!
Vicky—good luck with your vines… protect your back!!! Have a fun luncheon!
So sorry I didn’t get back here. DH came home from coffee early, and we had brunch. Then I went to the woods to help him pick up some brush and burn it. After working several hours, we went fishing. I was walking around the pond to find a better location and spied a morel… I ended up taking off my t-shirt and collecting mushrooms and ticks. I did better with both than my fishing! By the time we got back, cleaned the fish, de-ticked and showered, fixed dinner (the fish and mushrooms will be this evening)… I gave up and hit the sofa for some TV entertainment…
Joan—I love your quilt with the scrappy backing… actually, I may love the back the best!!! It’s way cool and modern!
Judi—the mug rugs are darling… ALL of them, but most especially the chick!!! (Is anyone surprised?) They are all cute as can be!!!
Jules—congratulations to Charlie!!! You know we are all as thrilled for her as you are!!! It’s wonderful to have our kids close even if they do go out on their own!!!
Tina—what amazing detail!!! How exciting for everyone!!! So sorry about your DH’s uncle. He sounded like a neat man with a distinguished career!
Chriss and Karlene—we had wisteria growing around the big front porch on the house that burned. It was really pretty—had our own Wisteria Lane… Only difference… I wasn’t “desperate”; I was happy (and still am)!!!
MaryZ—I can’t wait to see your Alaska quilt!!! Congratulations on a finish!!! So good that Jim is at home now!!! They will love your dinner after all the hospital fare. Enjoy your whole day!!!
I have tons to do today, and some to get accomplished before DH returns, so I will try to check back later…
Have a super day

Morning everyone,
Tina, isn't that just the most beautiful little grandbaby! Amazing that you get to see the baby months before it is even born, isn't it?
Chickie, I posted some pics of the Trillium in the swap thread for you.
Maryz, yay for Jim getting to come home. Have fun at your Par-tay tonight! LOL
Lois, too may errands and no sewing....that just isn't right!
Suzette, have fun hangin' with DS today.
Mary/Rosebud, enjoy the thunderstorm....I miss them. We rarely get thunder here. Closest we come is when they are firing the big guns over at the Army Post!
Judi, love those mug rugs. Happy quilt teaching today!
Sharona, sorry to hear about your friend. I had a complete thyroidectomy just before we moved here from Germany. Happy errand-running.
Joan, weeds---ugh! Have fun!
Kathy, maybe you can sweet-talk the water purification guy into climbing up that ladder and washing that window for you! LOL
Sandy, thanks for the update about Rickster. Will definately keep them in my prayers. Can't wait to see your "flub" quilt.
Maryq, one more sleep!!!!! Can't wait to see pics of the new little guy. How is the room-mate thing working out?
Cindyg, it'll probably take you a week to get all caught up at work! How is the JN quilt coming along?
Jana, arent' Grandpa's and their Grandson's the most precious things? I love to watch how my DGS and DH interact.
Chriss, your granny sounds amazing. Glad you are able to be there to help her out. Hope you get to go to your last quilting class, too.
Karlene, the squirrels sound too cute. Hope the one little guy wasn't hurt.
Well, guess I best get back to work. Not much going on around here, but I can always scan and file! Boy, doesn't that sound like fun.
Hope you all have a wonderful day. I'll try to pop back in later.
Hugs,
Mel

Re: Wednesday 8 April
Scrapquilter is getting older per minute, still on old dinosaur computers...Well, managed one pic, my street and kitten shooting the breeze. He is very mischievous these days, with the warm sunny days, and birds up his tree..No sense driving him inside, he has the claws..After all he has adopted that lounging lawnchair, dare I come near he shows me his paws/claws, and nose nodges me out of chair..
