Mary Z - I am still plugging away on the blocks. I had stopped to make the friend quilt. I am planning on needing about 30 blocks. Last count I had 15 made.
Never did get into my studio today. The weather has turned out really nice. Hopefully I will get out there tomorrow.

It has been a good day today. I got some uglies done and got a quilt sandwich pinned so I now have two waiting to be quilted. I think I might start on one tonight as I have a pattern picked out - just need to practice it on paper a few times first. And I had pancakes with blueberries for supper.
Chriss - so how does your son feel about you getting him set up with daughters and granddaughters of forum members?!? Hope Marilyn had a good time at her sleepover.
Tina - so sorry to hear about the discovery of lumps. Please let us know what the doctors find.
Maryz - good to hear your brother is doing better, and that you were able to get some sewing in. Thank you for the update on Kathy - I've been wondering what was going on.
Jacquie - Phoebe is so cute!
Maryq - what is your countdown till Alaska?
Miriam - have you had any more time with your Gammill?
Okay, if I'm going to start the quilting, I better get with it.

Re: Saturday, April 20
Good evening! I'm later than usual today. Last evening Odie had an accident. We thought he had gotten into some barbed wire and tore up his leg. Our neighbors think it looks more like he got caught in a trap on the Federal Lake property. I finally found a vet with an emergency number last night, and she had me give him half an asprin then withhold food until this morning. I took him for surgery this morning. I have no idea how many stitches he has, plus she said his kneecap was dislocated--sounds more and more like a trap! After I left him in the gentle hands of the vet, I got groceries and went to see Mom. She was concerned about Odie, too. At 11, I went back to see how he did and got to bring him home. I've been giving him loads of TLC and love since getting home. My DD and DGD came over this afternoon, too. So, that's been my day! I've been as traumatized as Odie. I think he's going to mend! I take him back Tuesday to have the drains removed, and I have packets of antibiotics and pain pills to administer. In two weeks, the stitches can be removed. Poor little guy. You can tell he doesn't feel well!
I will try to get back her tomorrow...
