Hi Sandy...does your Mom use a walker...my dad was falling all the time we finally convinced him to use a wheeled walker with a seat on it and he has been better. He can put things on the seat and push it to the table or his chair. It also has brakes that lock it so it doesn't roll away from him. Believe me it wasn't easy convincing him but now he uses it all the time. He has a toilet seat with arm rests so He can pull himself up too. If he gets tired or tied up in his pants(around his ankles too) he can sit on the walker seat and pull up his pants .
Getting old ain't for sissies.

Yes, she has used a walker for the last year. She has quit using her left arm so she runs into walls and furniture. She has dementia and is also on oxygen. The oxygen cord is constantly getting in the way so we use a caribeaner clip on the back of her shirt to help keep it out of the way.

Chriss, that is the site. I saw her booth at the Houston Quilt Show and it was gorgeous. All those civil war reproductions - sigh! I want to make a log cabin using blues and creams with the center being burgundy. BonnieBlue Quilts is an online store but her warehouse is near my house and Kenderosa told me that she opens her warehouse once or twice a year so we can go there and shop. I'm waiting and wondering when it is. I guess I need to go to the site and see if it says anything about that. I never really liked the civil war repros because they seemed so dark, dingy, and dull but when I saw her booth I changed my mind.

Carol, you just gotta do the best you can. It is very hard job. I was a homecare nurse for 16 years and I know exactly what you are going though. I will keep you and Mom in my prayers.

Thanks Chriss, My sis is my Paducah buddy and my long arm buddy and she always goes with me to LQS and gets me in trouble. So Her having a major surgery is a worry. We do a lot together.

Well I finished one shopping bag and almost another...but I'm getting tired so I think I will turn in for the night...XXXOOO..night
