Judi, I pray that you and DH have a safe uneventful trip.... and that DBIL is doing better....
I didn't walk today or yesterday... tomorrow the fat quarter club starts and I plan to get serious....
Also waiting for the white elephant to start up again, that is a fun one....
and I am biting my nails till I find out what the next UGRR block is
it is cold here and our heater just went out... so tomorrow we will call the fix it man and pray he can fix it cheap.
I also went to one of those UPS stores where they mail things either ups or post office... hah.. they aren't cheap... I think I will try my luck with the post office tomorrow...
I need to shower and get ready to hit the hay...you all have a wonderful evening..
Chriss

Hi Debbie,
I am with you! No UFOs by January 1, 2010. I am going to put the binding on the Irish Chain tonight. I finished quilting it today! That is my second UFO finished.

Re: Tuesday January 6th
Well, my husband took our 2 yr. old gs home today. I have an inservice tomorrow and couldn't go. We had ice this morning and weren't sure if they would be able to go, but it warmed up above 32 and melted everything. I often take him by myself, but this is the first time pawpaw has done it. This means I am home alone tonight for the first time in many, many, many years. I run around with friends, go to daughter's, school meetings, Paducah, Nashville, quilt retreats, etc., but he never goes anywhere overnight without me. My computer was down for a week, so I have been trying to read the backlog. I read all the sew ins last night while I reloaded Embird. FINALLY, got it working about 2 am. Now, I'm trying to read and catch up on the other stuff I've missed.
Tulpe, I'm really, really thinking about getting EQ6. I didn't know it came with lessons. That's one of the reasons I have put off getting it, not knowing if I would be able to learn to use it. The young man at our lqs has it. He used it to work up our opportunity quilt and I really got interested helping him on the committee. Do you just love it????? If I learned to use Embird Basic, I think I could do it don't you?

Gosh xteacher, don't get ME started talking about EQ6.....
There are 6 lessons to follow with exercises and coffee breaks.
They also have a video section with awwww I guess about 20 video clips to watch.
I guess I'm a slow learner these days.
Hubby is home with Tuna Melt Sub-Way.
*FluFF*s all around.
Sweet Dweams.

What is Embird?
Yee haw - I got to work in my sewing studio tonight. I got one block done that I need to mail out tomorrow and then I started putting the blocks together on the Pink Lemonade quilt. Tomorrow night I have dinner and choir rehearsal at church so no sewing for me tomorrow.
It's past my bedtime so I'm going to go wash my face, brush my teeth and get in bed. I hope I crash and not lay awake building quilts in my head. G'nite y'all!

I've been off here for a week and feel like I have missed so much. I didn't know about the blocks for cybersue and there was something else, but I don't remember what.
T, are the video clips part of the program? I started to say I can't watch video clips online because I am on dial up, but if they are part of the program, I can probably view them.
cindyg, Embird is an embroidery program that you can use with machine embroidery. They have all different levels. I just have the basic that will let me edit, resize, arch lettering, etc. It also converts, but I already had Buzz Tools to do my converting. You can buy another level called Studio which lets you digitize your own designs. I've not gotten into digitizing yet. There are more designs out there than I can ever use anyway. I probably don't know 5% of what it can do.
Well, I've finally gotten my scanner working (some of the clean up work I have to do after the computer guy gets through) and think I have sent the curling iron thingy to debbie, so I am off to bed to get up early for an inservice for my GED teaching. See you guys tomorrow. It's supposed to be much warmer here and the ice should be past this area.

*T*, thanks for the reminder. I packed the foot pedal AND the electric cord. I wrote up a list last night so that I might not miss anything. Can you believe I almost didn't pack the batting????
Do you think anyone will notice I am bringing all my 'stuff' in one of El's large bags???
