Ann, I don't see the tossed 9patch kit anymore... dog gone it... maybe if you ask Linda she will know if there is one left.... in any event, I suggest getting charm packs... you will be amazed at how much cutting it will save you...
Bransmom... and here i was ready to take the blame.... I think he should buy you dinner for ruining that jacket.....lol.....you may even want to call the owner of the team and let him know how you made his team win.... oh to have your power.....lol.....
Our local community college every once in a while offers a free quilt class... what is good about this class is it gives you a chance to catch up on the town gossip while finishing your quilt project.... it also lets you use the big folding tables at the church to lay out your quilt and pin it.... I have about 4 or so tops that need to be put together.... I love making tops...... it is held at the church and the church asks for a dollar a meeting per person to help with the light bill.... I am really excited about this, I may just get something done... woo hoo

Chriss - were they Magic Vine fabrics? I even looked there and apparently there aren't any Magic Vine fabrics left. Oh, well, I can use other charms or cut my own! My friend, Helen, who works at QIAD, says she's 'made a million' Tossed Nine Patch quilts!! Helen and her husband Karl are the ones in the back of the new Lover's Knot book - just celebrated their 50th Anniversary in May.

Re: Sunday January 4th
OMG It is snowing like crazy. We must have two inches already. DH mentioned earlier that it was sleeting, but has changed to snow now. It is coming done hard.
I have been working on my birthday blocks. I am having a terrible time getting them to come out at 12 1/2 inches. When I have that problem with mine it doesn't really matter because they are all that way, but for someone else it is an issue. Finally started cutting the pieces an eighth of an inch bigger. That seem to work.

Gmann - I concur that the tossed nine patch is very easy and that charm packs work beautifully. You do need quite a few though. I used almost 5 of the Romance the Roses Charm Pack. The quilt is quite charming and it is the one I need to baste together.
Sandy - The snow sounds so pretty! I know it is cold and you wish it were warmer but it sounds fun!
Rosie - My prayers will be with you tomorrow. I hope you keep very busy and have a great day.
Chriss - How lucky to find out about a quilting class so you can do the basting in a large area!

Re: Sunday January 4th
hi I am trying to get caught up but can't read though everything. I am tried I think being up all night the other night with phone calls re: my FIL have wiped me out since I then had to get up and work.
On the fun side I started cutting fabric for a quilt (because I needed the extra fabric from the quilt for another project) and once I got started I started sewing the quilt top, and John helped mark and cut. I am almost done
John loves it we will have it completed tomorrow
