Marilynsgrammy and cyberspacequilter-
I live 3 hours away from Yosemite so anything associated with it is big news here. I also have a story about the 1997 huge rock fall there. My nephew and 3 of his buddies were hiking the John Muir trail above Yosemite and were scheduled to come down the Mist Trail to Happy Isles on the valley floor, then drive to my house and be there at 1:00pm. I heard about the avalanche, then my sister called from San Diego asking if I had heard from the boys. 1:00pm came and went and no boys. I frantically called the Red Cross and they had no word either. At 5:00 4 boys showed up at my door, covered head to toe in grey rock dust. They had just been starting down the Mist Trail when the avalanche hit. The actual avalanche just missed them but they got caught in the huge dust cloud that boiled up the trail and coated them with the dust. I made them all call their mothers, then threw them in the pool to wash off. They were more excited than scared at their narrow escape and love to tell the story to this day!

LOL, ALL of your ladies are the BEST.
Time for me to go spend a bit of time with Mr. Grumpy Butt.
We're still not used to him traveling so far alone. This is his first year of that.
*FluFF*s all around.
Night all, sweet Dweams.

Been in bed for an hour, can't sleep. Thought I'd come here. Looks like everyone's been having a good time today!
