More Missouri Weather

Post by Hummingbird » Mon Dec 10, 2007 5:03 pm

Thought I'd show you my neighborhood. I'm NE of Nadine2007 and Maddison2007. We're supposed to be getting more throughout the night. I hope DH gets a break before too long!

These photos are beautiful! But look so cold to my southern bones. LOL At least you might have a white Christmas! Sue

The pictures are beautiful but I actually shivered as I looked at them! Do you live on a hill? It looks so much like where we once lived in Oregon. One time it snowed and froze there. I had to cross the road to get to the mailbox and started sliding down the hill! Didn't do too bad either...stayed on my feet at least for awhile!! LOL
Try and stay warm!

LOL, makes me shiver too! Yes, we live on a hill. We're in a small river town on the Mississippi river and it's all rolling river bluffs. Very very pretty - except for when the ice comes, lol. Actually, our street crews are awesome here and my street has been very driveable. They may have their work cut out for them tomorrow though! It's doing the freezing rain thing now.

DH just got home at 10:30 but has to be back at work at 4:00 am. **sigh** tired man, very tired man.

LOL - I did a "WHOOP - BOOM" right in front of my mailbox last year! Now all my neighbors know that I DO wear stuff under my skirts when it's cold, LOL!

You take care and your DH is in my prayers. That ice is beautiful but so dangerous. You pics look a lot like here. Looks like you live in a gorgeous area.

Nancy, wow, those are fantastic pictures! Is that house below you for sale??

Take care, it's snowing here, and I'm getting ready for work.

Thanks! Yes, Cindy, it's for sale, it's actually right next door. I took that pic from my front sidewalk. Come on down! I'd love to have a quilty buddy next door!

I live just south of St. Louis in Imperial, that only thing we are getting is a lot of rain. I was hoping we would get some of the snow it did not happen. I keep hoping we get something and the reason is I have an eight year old grandson, who believe it or not does not want a snow day. He says if he has a snow day then he will have to go to school longer, so he doesn't want any. So I want one to just to get back at him for being so ornery this year.

LOL Bland50!! Serves the little bugger right!

I'm listening to Glenn Zimmerman on Fox2 right now and it sounds pretty much just wet in STL. I'm up in Louisiana and it's still freezing up here.

ACK! My satellite just went out - must be froze up again. May have to update the pics later!
