Oh my gosh. Even the bird house has ice crystals. Your yard is very beautiful with the ice on it. The sun is out here is Sunny Calif.

the only thing smiling in your yard is the snowman... Oh those poor birds, do you make them little quilts so they stay warm ;-}

It is beautiful, but so so cold looking

Nadine, It looks the same here in NE Oklahoma. I can hear trees breaking from the weight of the ice.

What an awesome sight. Several years ago we lived in Streamwood Ill. We had an ice storm much like that. It is pretty, but I don't like to be out in it.

There are 4 more trees that have broken where you see the one leaning. When I was outside taking photo's the we could hear the limbs breaking all over the woods then a large branch broke right in front of us it was pretty amazing to watch. I just hate loosing trees. It is very pretty but I like to stay inside while all of this stuff is happening. Enjoy! Bev

It's 79F here today. I'd trade you for some real winter weather though. Funny, but I miss it. The pictures are very pretty. I am going to my guest bedroom now (which is where I set up my sewing machine) to see if I can rearrage the furniture to put the sewing machine in front of the window! We have a view of a lake also. There's two gators living in there......and lots and lots of big white egrets and gray sandhill cranes.

Oh Nadine, that is awful. Hope everyone stays safe.
We lived through an ice storm here in Jan. of 1998 and I remember it so well. The sounds outside were just so eerie....trees falling everywhere and ice crackling all around you. I took alot of pictures then; and we lost alot of the white birch trees in our back yard. We lived at my parent's for a few days because my father had a generator. Was wonderful family time. My oldest and his family were here from Vt. also.
I do have to admit though; your snowman is awfully cute with that ice LOL.
Hope it doesn't last too long.
