For the ladies who gave me some good advice I want to show off some of my Mom's Quilts.

Image

This is the quilt top I have and want hand quilted. Mom gave it to me 4 years ago. She had a trunk full of quilt tops and gave each of her 4 daughters 2 tops each. She gave me 3 because I wanted her string quilts. She thinks the string quilts are only good for fishing trips.
I have no idea how old the top is and I don't know the name of the pattern. Does anyone know its name.

This is a quilt she hand quilted for herself. As you can see the colors are opposit from the one she gave me.

This is another handpieced top. Mom calls it an Odd Fellow pattern. I have seen it called an Apple Core pattern

Geneva, what great treasures. I don't know what the pattern name is, but it looks like some type of flower. Just beautiful.

Beautiful quilts. The apple core is also called hatchet. Wish I knew the name of the other.

Geneva, Your Mom did some very nice work! How wonderful that she had the tops to pass down to her DD's. I love that Apple Core! It is on my "want to do sometime" list. I don't know the name of the top 2 quilts but just love them! Yep, I think the one def. needs to be handquilted. What a treasure you have!!!!!!!! Thank You so much for sharing with us.
