Very beautiful. I probably would do some in the ditch so as not to take away from the beauty of the quilt.

Very beautiful quilt.
I think I would do shadow quilting on the blocks and a round stencil design on the alternate blocks.

It is beautiful! But, why do I see white between the blocks? Wow! it is exciting just to think about....I agree to keep the snowball alternates with the same quilting motif, but how about if you take each block separately and give it just the quilting it inspires you to do. I would love to vary the quilting just as much as the blocks.

Wow Great Job!! I think I would stitch in the ditch or just use a overall design. You have so much going on with each block. L love your quilt.

beautiful quilt. I agree with Geneva on the quilting, with such beautiful blocks you don't want the quilting to be the main attraction except on the alternate blocks.

Thanks so much, to all of you for your most generous compliments and votes of confidence. This is my first "real" quilt, ha ha. I hope you all know how much I treasure each and everyone's advice. That's how I'm learning best, seeking the wisdom of those who've already been there, done that.

To Calicopuzzle, the white you see in between the blocks is my flannel backed tablecloth on my wall (my design wall). I've not yet sewn the blocks together yet, they're all just sitting up there waiting for me to start sewing.

What you're saying about quilting each block separately does make sense to me. I will proceed in that manner. I do still have one more border to make, that being a piano key border. When it all comes together, I'll report back with a new picture.

Thanks again!
