I spent Saturyday and Sunday making our cat a new pet bed.

That's neat! Did it take long for her/him to investigate?

That is cute. You did a nice job. Kitty looks happy in there. My daughter has several cats at her house. She doesn't have anything like this.

Mr. Tumble took a little time to get interested and we are still waiting to see if he takes to it. Old habits die hard and the rocking chair in my bed room is usually his favorite spot. I want him off that chair because it has a velour type of fabric and I am tired of cleaning cat hair off of it. Putting together the pet bed was a little time consuming. I was trying to follow pattern directions until I figured out a much easier way to putting it together. In this picture it was still missing the removable pad that goes into the bottom of the bed. I found some fabric at Walmart that was asort of like a fabric shower curtain so I think that will be easier to keep clean. The removable pad is made out of cotton, which I think is more comfortable for kittyboy.

SewSew that is a great little kitty house. Where did you get the pattern? I would love to make one for my girls.

I made one similar to yours for my Tigger and I think he's only been in it about 6 times. . . .but he might get in it more in the winter months. [but I made it several years ago....silly cat!]
