These are pictures of quilts my mother let me see this past weekend! One is from my great grandmother on my father's side and one from my great grandmother on my mother's side. She wasn't sure where the one came from!

Evidently you were born to quilt. LOL How wonderful to still have them in your family.

Beautiful quilts thanks for sharing. I don't have any quilts from either side of our family I think my father's mother used to quilt but she didn't know me very well. We lived in Il. and my grandmother was in Florida. I wish I could have had at least one or even just saw one of what she made. I am going to meet one of her other granddaughter's on Oct 5th maybe she will have one of grandma's quilts I can see. She is my first cousin and I don't even know her.

ladybess what great quilts. I'm sure there's history to go along with them. How great for you.

these are wonderful - I love the older quilts they intrigue me so very much. When I am doing restoration by they time I finish I always feel like a part of the dear quilter who stitched all those precious stitches is a part of me. What a treasure you have been blessed to share.
