I also thought of Phyllis Diller and Cruella Deville. They both have bad hair days. Regarding the Rooster Quilt you can see if there is pattern at "The Yellow Chicken" Yes, there is a site with chicken related quilting. http://jdqltr.home.att.net/chickens/
You could also find Rooster fabric and put it in the center of the block.

My co-worker is the county fair superintendent for goats. SHe raises Boers.
