OK, here's a couple more pictures from the Iowa State Fair. This is a great example of the Grandmother's flower garden - but it's not handwork!!! Look at the close up - it's not hexigons!

Oh, WOW! That is amazing. Must have been quite a puzzle to put it together! Very beautiful quilt - happy to see a blue ribbon in it!

Beautiful quilt, I seen a video on this, either Quilters TV or Kaye Woods, can't rember which, and the way it is put together is just amazing. Thank you for sharing

Are the hexagons really in two pieces? I have never seen one put together like that. Sure would make piecing easy - no corners to fuss with. It's a lovely quilt!

I bet that is how she made it. I had never heard of this method. There are no fussy corners to deal with but there's a lot of seam matching here.
