Shopping cart covers..

Post by Caroline1947 » Wed Aug 15, 2007 1:27 pm

I know they have these fancy contraptions to cover the whole works but I just wanted to keep the little gums off the handles, so I made these. They fold over and fasten with velcro and I added a soft batting and bound them like little quilts.

I have that same fabric! I'm thinking I am going to use it as backing and I bought every color under the sun of a mottled fabric and thinking of making "bricks"...

What a great idea!

Excellent idea - I get really grossed out when I see little ones chewing on the shopping cart handle

Those are so cute and what a clever idea. Those shopping carts are SO gross! I always try to carry a blanket or something to wrap the handles in. Trouble is they do fall off. I like the velcro idea. Thanks for sharing.

What a super idea! I think I will copy it for my grands. I have a few with more on the way and, safe to say if the Lord taries, many more to come.

These are just perfect! Wish I had known about them when mine were at that age to try to put their mouths on the handle. YUCK!!!! But? There is always hope that I might have a another grand in a year or two.

Thank You So Much for Sharing This!
