Anniversary Photo Quilt

Just finished this 25th Anniversary memory quilt for my son and his wife. The fabrics were all purchased online at QIAD and represent the colors of the wedding. I added white lace to represent the bride and the label on the back is mounted on a scrap from the dress I made as mother of the groom. The block pattern is Road to St. Louis because they went directly from the wedding to live in the St. Louis suburb of Florissant and have been there ever since.

Nadine, they are coming for a visit (with their 2 daughters and their dog) on August 2 and I plan to surprise them then with the wall hanging and an anniversary cake. Do you live beyond Florissant? Unfortunately, we tend to drive as far as Florissant and then head back to Ohio.

Ilove the shadowed pic of the bride!!quilt is beautiful!! i made pic quilts for some of my grand children but didnt put a theme on it. that is when I just started out. I just bordered the pic. great idea so much is to be learned from all you great creative quilters!!! thank u all!
