Your sewing studio is nice. I would love to see a forum just for sewing rooms/quilting studios. I have gotten some great ideas by looking at yours and others on the forum.
Thanks for sharing.

Maryq - what a beautiful color that is in your room. It's so soothing and cool/refreshing looking. I love your shelves with the glass blocks. Very creative of you.

Re: My New Sewing Room
Ooopps forgot to put the drill away! I had to take down the shelving to paint, so had to drill to put it back up! Fortunately it's MY drill and there's nobody here to walk off with it! Being single, I've learned to do a lot of repairs on my own. I can change light switches and outlets, hang things (relatively straight) and put in new light fixtures if I have to. And thankfully I have neighbor that is an electrician if I have trouble.
that little table that the drill is sitting on is actually an antique porcelain top table I carried home from a trip to Nebraska several years ago. It's being put to good use now as the cutting table. On the wall above it I hope to hang a 2'x2' piece of pegboard. Another neighbor is going to help me make a frame for it.
And like any true quilter, give me a little while and I'm sure I'll have it totally messed up! What isn't in the picture is the big pile of ironing that I have been ignoring... not that I mind ironing, I'd just rather do other things!

It looks great. Every woman needs their own drill! and hammer and screwdrivers. I have my own and everyone knows not to touch mama's tools.
I installed a new shower head today in the master bath. It looks great if I do say so myself!
I know you will have many happy hours sewing in your newly painted room. Have Fun!

Very nice - isn't it fun to be getting it "all together"? I can't wait to see it messed. It will make me feel ever so much better!

I love how you have your sewing machine in front of the window. Great room to sew in.
