Did you do your own pattern?

I want to do a bargello but afraid I'll get lost at some part. Now I'm pretty sure I would get lost.

ipquilter, I think your quilt is just AWESOME! Wow! You do very nice work. The quilt is stunning. I love Bargello's but they intimidate the heck out of me. Thanks for sharing.

Hey y'all! You guys are so sweet! About the quilt...I got the pattern from a Georgia Bonesteele book on lap quilting, but I can't imagine using that technique on this quilt. I enlarged the pattern cuz the strips in the original finished out at 1/4 inch. Mine are 1/2 inch. It is a phoenix (sp?). My DS#1 saw the pattern right after I started quilting and wanted it. I made him wait until I had some experience under my belt and the guts to give it a try. I'll post another pic when it's all quilted and finished. Thank you all so much for the kind words! It's the first quilt I've ever "put out" requesting feedback and I was a little nervous about it!
