Ken is a stained glass artist. Ihave asked him to do a panel of each new quilt block i have mastered. this is a sample of his work

My brother does stained alass, also. Maybe I'll ask him to do some blocks for me, too.

Iowa Girl...Wow, Wow, Wow. That just blows me away. I took a stained glass class once and I know how talented you have to be to do such beautiful work. Apparently, I wasn't very talented.LOL. I bet if he showed his work at a quilt show or something he would have so many requests for something like this. I would also like to know if Ken does this on a commission? Is Ken your DH? Man, those are awesome. Would love to see some more of his work.

I did stained glass pieces for about 7 years and then arthritis took over my fingers and hands and it became to painful to do the leading (push the lead around the glass). The star is beautiful! What a great idea. He should show them, like grammy said, at quilt shows. It would be nice to have our favorite block(s) to hang in our studio window(s).

he took this up jan 06 while recovering from his back surgery. This was his 1st commissioned pice done 6 months after he started. Yes does commissions. The gut said his wife liked ladybugs and flowers. I designed it, he made it.
