cindyg, I really appreciate your kind words, but don't be silly. They are both fairly easy. The Falling Leaves was a breeze ... pardon the pun LOL . The star quilt was from a book by Judy Martin called Star Happy Quilts. My grandson choose the colors and he arranged the stars in the pattern he liked. I was just the seamstress. I am always amazed by the wonderful and creative quilts I see. I always feel inferior, but I just keep plugging away.
Both these were made for people I love, so that helps !
Keep at it...

Not only are the colors great, and the pattern super but the quilting is just wonderful! Did you quilt it? by hand or machine?

It's nice to know that something you describe as "easy" can look so wonderful. Not every quilt must be difficult to turn out so beautiful!

The red white and blue makes my heart sing, the fall color quilt makes me think there is a shy giraffe hiding in the fall bush folage can you see his eye? Nice job on both of them. :)

MsSewNSew, Thanks for the compliments. I did not quilt it. My friend Sharon Malachowski in Sebastopol, CA is the long arm quilter who makes all my quilts look 1000 times better than they did when she got them. Working with her is easy as she is a real pro. I usually have some idea of what I want, or at least where I want "heavy" quilting and where it should be less dense. A good colaboration makes all the difference. On the star quilt, the quilting really makes the quilt work.
