Breast Cancer quilt

Post by zfatcat » Sun Feb 11, 2024 4:30 pm

This quilt will be going to my cousins wife. She had a double mastectomy a few weeks and and will be undergoing Chemo therapy when she is healed.

Half of the blocks were sent to me from Tina, and I made 6 to complete the top. I put Minkie on the back and brought it around to the front for the binding. It's so soft. Hope it will give her comfort during her healing journey.

LORI - your cousin will love this beautiful, comforting quilt. And what neat idea to back it with Minkee and bring it around to the front as a binding. Always fun to learn a new skill! Your work always interests and challenges me! Thank you for that!

Lori, I've never sewn with Mineke but I bet it feels luxerious. She will love this quilt, it's perfect.

Ginger is a great go along with chemo, it relieves some of the nausea. It comes in cookies, candy and tea. I pray she comes out of chemo completely healed and gets to ring the "I'm cancer free" bell."
