Rocking Horse

Post by purrfect-lady » Fri Sep 01, 2023 11:21 am

My kids great uncle made this Rockinghorse for them more than half century ago. It has been sitting in our garage loft for the last 25 years. We got it down and repainted it to take to Miss Amara this year for Christmas.

Such a treasure indeed. Another generation to use it. I have the red rocking horse whose body was attached to springs two in front and to in back all which is secured to a base on two sides. Have fond memories of it, my kids rocking away, bouncing and even my grands rocking away on it with adult supervision of course. Wonder, what and where it will go when I’m gone? My brother never wanted it for his kids and my sisters grandson really wasn’t interested in it so I have it back, kind of comforting reminders of simpler safe times

Maryz -

I love your rocking horse! I remember them from years ago too. I sent the picture to my brother for his grandson. Can you tell me any measurements? I think he might like to make it.
