Mini quilt
I love the Miniature Quilt Magazines that are now out of print. I finished this one today. I love the Mountains and the thought of a fun cabin in the Mountains would be great. The quilt is square, but it hangs a bit off as I'm only using a pin to hold it. Hehe. What great tips do you have for hanging your quilts. Do you all make sleeves? I'd love your suggestions & tips for mini or bigger quilts.

That's really a nice little quilt. How did you make the stars?

A good portion of this quilt, like the stars, were paper-pieced.

Re: Mini quilt
I love this quilt! I love Christmas and I love paper piecing. You did a terrific job on it!
I hang quilts using different methods. Small projects can be hung from a dowel, tucking the end of it into triangular shaped pockets in each of the two top corners. I've also sewn very small tabs into the binding on the back and used thumbtacks. And I've put full sleeves on small and large projects. I've also used tabs sewn to and extend above the top - usually four, but size of quilt dictates the number for full distribution of weight of the quilt. I run the hanging rod through the tabs. They do show and just become part of the project.

Thanks Mary Z for the tips of sleeves you've used. Lots of different ways to make them. I do like the idea of small tabs to put a dowel in for a small quilt. Here, I just used clothes pins to attach to the hanger. I really like the paper piece for these small quilts, Goes fast.
