My Bigfoot Quilt

This quilt is from Elizabeth Hartman’s pattern, Lookout. It is 72x75”. Instead of the forest animals Hartman had in her quilt, I used Bigfoots from another quilt pattern. This is for our good friend, Bob. Bob lost his beloved wife, Betsy, December 23. She was a double lung transplant patient and lived an extra 10 years because someone was brave enough to donate their own loved one’s lungs to her. Anyway, Bob is selling his place in Oregon, buying a large toy hauler fifth wheel and plans to hit the road full-time until, as he puts it, he decides what he wants to be when he grows up. He is 78 yrs old now! 😆. Bob loves Bigfoot. He made a 15 foot Bigfoot and put it in his yard just to get people's reactions, but he really wanted to put it in the woods across the river from a state park near him and then sit back and wait for calls to come in reporting Bigfoot sightings! Bob is very whimsical. His motto is “you gotta have fun in life“. That motto is going on his quilt label.

How fun Mary! My husband is from Bellingham, WA & his family is always posting Bigfoot sightings etc. so fun! I like your pattern better than the Bigfoot quilt pattern that’s out there. You’ve got to have the trees! Love ❤️ your story of Bob too! Great job!
