Update on 2/25 My Crumb quilt, I call it "Crazy Covid-19 quilt"

Have any of you made or finished your Crumb quilt. I remember back in April during lockdown, some were stitching scraps to make crazy blocks
It was so fun and used up a lot of small pieces I had been saving.
I still need to sandwich this and quilt, but top is now finished.
Used fabric leftovers for sashing and corner stones. Leftovers from granddaughter's graduation quilt.
I plan to tie this quilt like I did my granddaughter's quilt.

This backing material I have had for a couple of years. Purchased it from my favorite little quilt shop in the country almost two years ago. Paid $1 a yard. It was from a "close out" box.
I have used from this for several other projects, but by piecing a bit, I had just enough for the back. This quilt will go on our own bed when finished.
There is yet one more story: as I was assembling, I noticed one block had some writing on it. Seems I had used a piece of blue to test my white micro pen for a quilt label. So this made me start thinking about adding more small notes and 2020 memories into other blocks. One had some Marine Corp themed fabric, so I added dates of our grandson's Boot Camp graduation, etc. Turned out neat.
Making this quilt special to me.

Thanks for taking a peek.

Here's an example of what I meant about notes to my memory. 😊

Thanks for all your kind words. I need to get busy and get it sandwiched.

VELDA - I love your crumb quilt. Practical to use up all the 'crumbs' but sentimental, too. Win/win! I was working on my crazy quilt last spring but it's a project I save for 'down times' in between bigger projects. So it's a WIP and always at hand. Last summer I made quilts from all the orphan blocks and units I had saved and the last one I noticed had pieces from so many quilts I'd made for friends and family. So I kept that one for myself for watching TV in the evenings. Feels good to look at all those memories again! Thanks for sharing yours! I'm sure it will inspire others.
